Matthew Macfadyen stars with Keira Knightley in November's Anna Karenina, but their onscreen relationship is markedly different than the last time the actors costarred together, when they played love interests in Pride and Prejudice. Now, the two play brother and sister, and when I chatted with Macfadyen about the film, he talked about how surreal it was to reunite with her and director Joe Wright. Director Joe Wright's adaptation of Anna Karenina comes out this November with Keira Knightley in the title role, which marks the third time Wright has cast the actress in one of his films. When I sat down to chat with Wright, he talked about why Knightley was his only choice to play Anna, as well as how she's grown up since they made their last film together. You may recognize actor Domhnall Gleeson from the Harry Potter franchise — he played Bill Weasley — but in Anna Karenina, he plays quite a different role. As supporting character Levin, Gleeson is a romantic outcast in Russian society, and when I chatted with the actor, he talked about playing the literary figure and why he's so relatable. Gleeson also talked about why he wanted to be in this film and what it's like to come off of the Potter films.

In this Fall's Anna Karenina, Jude Law plays Alexei Karenin, the cuckolded husband of the title character (played by Keira Knightley). I talked to the actor about the period film and his character, and Law explained why he wanted to make Karenin sympathetic and more than just a bad guy. He also talked about Knightley, particularly how grown-up her performance is, as well as how the great script is the key to making the adaptation work so well.

Aaron Taylor-Johnson plays the man who comes between Keira Knightley and Jude Law in November's Anna Karenina, and when I chatted with the actor (who's best known for Kick-Ass), we talked about his luminous costar and why his character, Count Vronsky, falls for her. Taylor-Johnson had a lot of insight into Knightley, revealing how much the "super smart" actress studied the novel on which the film is based, as well as how impressed he was with her performance.
