We haven't been shy about expressing our sadness over the loss of the Golden Globes last night. The short press conference and NBC's news-magazine broadcast couldn't take the place of the red-carpet fashion and acceptance speeches, and the ratings reflected that. Now we want to know what you think — did you miss the Globes last night?
Some of this year's Golden Globe wins were to be expected, but there were some things that I totally didn't predict. What did you find most surprising about the Globes this year?

...A let down to say the least. Feel free to finish the sentence however you want but it's clear this was the most uneventful year in Golden Globe history. The press conference held at the Beverly Hills Hilton included a bunch of entertainment news anchors from ET, E! News, and The Insider who admitted they would never normally be invited to hand out Globes but this year they were pleased to fill in. Bottom line — this strike needs to end. This was an embarrassment to Hollywood's finest and we hope this helps the writers' strike end faster since we've got Oscars and more coming up in the next few weeks and we want more. The dramatically scaled-back Golden Globe Awards spread things around Sunday night, with Atonement, Sweeney Todd, No Country for Old Men, and The Diving Bell and the Butterfly each taking home two awards.
Atonement and Sweeney Todd nabbed the night's biggest prizes, for the Best Dramatic Picture and Best Musical or Comedy Picture; Atonement also won for Best Original Score, while Johnny Depp won the Best Actor: Comedy or Musical prize. Diving Bell took home awards for Best Foreign Language Picture and Best Director for Julian Schnabel. No Country won the Best Screenplay award, and Javier Bardem was recognized for Best Supporting Actor.

There are just a few hours left before The Big Press Conference announcing the winners of this year's Golden Globes. We're not exactly sure what to expect tonight, but we will be covering the excitement and will be here for you so you can dish on the winners, give your reactions and, if we are lucky, have some sort of parties, fashion and beauty looks too, so stay tuned.
