The Voice: See Who Was Cut and Vote For Who Deserves to Go Home

It's quarter-finals time, y'all!

It's quarter-finals time, y'all! For those who haven't heard, this week's episode of The Voice had a pretty crazy twist. But we've got some ground to cover before we get to that. The judges performed with their teams, which means we got treated to a choir-backed rendition of Christina Aguilera's "Stronger" and a pretty blatant commercial for Starbucks. Blake's team tackled "Heartache Tonight," and though he was up there with them, I'm not completely convinced he was singing. Adam got some stage time too when he sang his new single, "Payphone," featuring Wiz Khalifa. It's no "Moves Like Jagger," but it was alright. Finally, two finalists were instantly dropped from the competition. Starting with the cut contestants, let's go through the performances and then you tell me, who's in danger of being cut tomorrow night?

The Voice: Vote on Who Deserves to Go After Round 2

Live rounds continued on The Voice this week, and to be honest, it was kind of brutal. With the exception of a couple of performers, nobody seemed to be on top of their game, and the song selections and disastrous production choices didn't make anything better. At this point, it seems like no one is safe from elimination. Did you watch? Who do you think is headed home from Team Adam and Team Cee Lo?

The Voice Begins Live Rounds: Vote on Who Should Stay In

This week marked the first week of live rounds on The Voice.

This week marked the first week of live rounds on The Voice. Up until now, it's all been prerecorded and edited together, but from here on out, it's live, and anything can happen. Sadly, not much did happen on this week's episode. Christina and Blake's teams were up to the plate, and it's clear the contestants are still finding their footing. There were standouts (hey there Chris Mann), but there were also a lot of overproduced numbers and even some weak vocals. Check out this week's performances and let us know who you think will be headed to the dreaded bottom three.

The Voice: Who Really Deserved to Win the Battles?

This week marked round four of The Voice battles, and competition is thick in the air.

This week marked round four of The Voice battles, and competition is thick in the air. Judge Cee Lo Green cried, favorites were sent packing, and we were treated yet again to Christina Aguilera's bedazzled, lacquered pancake hat. This was a particularly important week, as it was the last of the battle rounds, and the judges' teams are now complete. That's right, we're a mere week away from the live shows. Check out these pics of the battles and tell us: which contestants would you have kept?

Battle rounds continued on The Voice this week, and each of the judges were forced to play favorites, as half of their teams must be eliminated before the live shows begin. Though the coaches got the final say, we're still wondering who should have won each round. (Especially since we don't agree with all the picks.) Check out the battle round pictures and tell us which contestant you would have kept around!

Sometimes the news surrounding our favorite TV shows is just as interesting as the fictional plot lines that keep us tuning in every week. This year brought a fresh batch of drama off the small screen: Ashton Kutcher's replacement of Charlie Sheen on Two and a Half men got lots of folks talking, while Oprah's final show was an event for fans who gathered together to hear her final message. We also said goodbye to some of our favorite TV characters and series, as well as some we didn't get a chance to know so well. Check out all of the most notable TV headlines of 2011!

Christina, Adam, Cee Lo, and Blake Give Us a Sneak Peek at The Voice's Second Season

Earlier this week, we stopped by the set of The Voice to hear from the singing competition’s four coaches: Christina Aguilera, Adam Levine, Cee Lo Green, and Blake Shelton.

Earlier this week, we stopped by the set of The Voice to hear from the singing competition’s four coaches: Christina Aguilera, Adam Levine, Cee Lo Green, and Blake Shelton. The sophomore season of the NBC reality competition will kick off in the prime post-Super Bowl spot on Feb. 5, and the foursome were on hand, along with host Carson Daly, to share a preview of what’s ahead in 2012. They talked about how the competitors have changed since season one, why they believe their show stands out among other TV talent contests, and how they’re staying involved in the careers of last year’s finalists. Here are some highlights:

  • Christina on next year’s format: “People wanted to see more of the blind auditions. That’s an amazing part of the show. It keeps all of us on our toes as judges, coaches, as viewers, as the contestant . . . and this year we have to choose 12 people to be on our team as opposed to last year, which there was only eight. So you’re going to see more of that [blind audition] moment.”
  • Adam on collaborating with last year’s champ Javier: “He’s finishing up his record. I just sang on one of his songs that Pharrell [Williams] did. It sounded amazing . . . it’s coming out soon.”
  • Blake on how season two's competitors are different: “I actually — which pisses me off still — had a guy ask me . . . I turned around and was telling him how I wanted him on my team, and giving him every reason why I should be his coach, and he said to me and whoever else it was: ‘I already know y’all like me. I want to know which one of you are going to keep me.’ Because he was already thinking ahead to those battle rounds. He knows what’s going to happen when we get to those battle rounds and he wants a commitment further than that, and that’s what we’re faced with because people watched the show last year and they know the game . . . So I told him to kiss my ass.”
