Hugh Jackman's Wolverine is about to come face-to-face with James McAvoy as a young Professor X. The first full trailer for X-Men: Days of Future Past is here and unlike the previously released teaser, it gives us a lot of answers about the movie's plot. The sequel finds old Professor X (Patrick Stewart) convincing Wolverine to head back to 1973 to help young Professor X, and the rest of the retro crew stop the Sentinels — giant scary robots bent on destroying mutants. The most intriguing part comes at the very end when both Professor Xs are in the same frame. How can they be in the same place at the same time? Mind: blown. There's also footage of Jennifer Lawrence (crying!), Halle Berry, Ellen Page, Anna Paquin, Peter Dinklage, and more.
This trailer is so intense. It's not fun and games anymore; the X-Men are fighting in a war for their race. As dark as it is, there's a little bit of humor when Wolverine snips that "Patience is my strongest suit." Oh, Wolverine, you kill me! X-Men: Days of Future Past opens May 23, 2014, and you can watch the trailer after the jump.
