What's Your Favorite Storyline in Love Actually?

A recent Love Actually-based Buzz Brainteaser prompted a few of you to share in the comments which of the movie's many storylines are your favorites. So, I figured it was time for a poll.

I'm having a hard time deciding, personally. I cry each and every time (every time!) Aurelia says "Just in cases," and who can resist Colin Firth? But the storyline with Emma Thompson and Alan Rickman's characters gets me right in the feelings, too. I also love Laura Linney's character, Sarah, and I may or may not have a habit of fast-forwarding to the scene that features a shirtless Karl (Rodrigo Santoro).

So many to choose from! Which is your favorite?

i saw the movie for the very first time this christmas (yes true!!!!............."") and i really liked the Characters and how perfect each rule was , i liked thee scene with Keira when she saw the tape of her wedding party and also when he went to her in the night and then she kissed him , but really Jamie and Aurelia were my Fav and also liked the Hugh story :)

By the way, I don't think John & Judy were porn actors. They were body doubles (they shoot nude scenes when the actors in a film don't want to do it).

Jamie & Aurelia, definitely. Their storyline was so romantic :) I love Colin Firth, and I love the name Aurelia plus she seems really sweet.

Juliet! Unrequited love makes me swoon. :) Secondly it'd be Colin Firth and the Portugeuse woman. What got me was that they had similar personalities without even knowing it! I love it! :)

i love this movie.. just watched it right now - it was really hard to pick one favorite storyline/couple... buzz i totally agree - it's adorable when sam says - cuz she's heaven! love it!!!!! and when his dad says you can have more than one love and he's like - no she's the one! ... or when natalie gives david the christmas card and she tells him that she's always been his... and when mark writes those notes while silent night is singing in the background... i know it's kinda bad that he totally professed his love to her but when he walks away and says enough.... it was touching.... i can go on and on - so let's just say - i think the whole movie is just one big favorite scene... :-)

kmckay — I'm so happy to find kindred spirits here! I really do love this movie. For some reason, I'm loving it more than ever this year. I've now watched it four times. Is that sad? One of my favorite lines (from Daniel, re: Joanna): "She's the coolest girl at school, and everyone worships her because she's heaven." Heaven! :)
