What's Buzzworthy? Girls With Guitars

I'm not crazy about the new Rosie Thomas album, These Friends of Mine. It's pleasant enough, but if I want to listen to a good female singer-songwriter, I'd much rather put on some Cat Power (pictured), Aimee Mann, or that old standby, Tapestry by Carole King.

I'm pretty much in love with girls like Tristan Prettyman (my favorite), Rachel Yamagata, and Colbie Calbat (not sure if thats how you spell her last name). i love happy, chill, good music like ben harper, jason mraz, jack johnson, etc and these girls are just as good if not better... plus they write all their own stuff and its amazing. everyone should check em out!
