What Do You Think of Ryan Seacrest's Hosting So Far?

The 2007 Primetime Emmy Awards are officially underway! We heard rumors that host Ryan Seacrest might be performing a little song-and-dance routine, but so far, the only singing on stage has come from the animated cast of "Family Guy." Still, all eyes will be on Seacrest tonight to see how he makes the transition from hosting "American Idol" to hosting the Emmys. How do you think Seacrest is doing as host so far? I cannot stand RS in any context. The whole family thinks he's just too annoying to be allowed out in public.

I didn't watch. I can't see this being hard for him. He's a nod to the old school of award show hosts. He's like the male Vanna White. Boring. Did he vulgarly tongue kiss any Desperate Housewives in an attempt to prove he's straight???

I have no idea why he's ever hired to host anything! He's just a little bland - stick to the radio. I with they'd gone w/ the Hugh Laurie idea, he has a great background and could have been hilarious. I loved the Family Guy song and dance. I think the stage really only works for tv, it seems awkward for the ppl that are there with ppl's backs to them.....

i thought it was weird that ray romano did such a long monologue at the beginning of the show, cause thats normally waht the host does. i don't think ryan could've pulled it off

It's not live in the mountain timezone, so I have no idea yet. I hate that we are the only timezone where it's not live. It makes it really hard not to get spoiled. Grrr.

i think he's doing OK, but only because they're clearly limiting his exposure on camera.
