What Do You Think About the Best Picture?

If Little Miss Sunshine couldn't win, then I was hoping that The Departed would. They were my two favorites.

Sad that Babel didn't get the credit it deserved. It was a beautiful movie. I just feel as if this movie didn't compare with any of the others it was against. It seems as if The Departed only won because it was directed by Martin Scorsese... makes me wonder if it still would have won with a different name attatched to it. That said, I was incredibly dissapointed. It's all political anyways... right? -sparkling raindrop spiritual guru for the lost souls of modern society

babel was boring

I loved this movie and rushed right out when it was released on DVD to buy it. I loved Little Miss Sunshine, but I still thought The Departed was a better movie. And if The Departed only won because of Martin Scorcese, why was he snubbed for countless other Academy Awards in the past years?

The Departed definitely deserved to win. Thoroughly entertaining from start to finish. Babel was probably more intellectual, but it was really boring, one that I could barely sit through. I never understood all the hype behind it. At least with The Departed, it delivered on the hype. I was actually really surprised I liked it so much because I don't usually care for Scorsese movies. I find them overrated for the most part.

The Departed was amazing. I didn't think Babel was as good as it was hyped up to be. But I LOVED LOVED LOVED The Departed. Such a brilliant movie!

I loved this movie but was shocked that it won Best Picture. I was rooting for LMS.

I am renting this tonight. I can't wait to see Mark..he is too fine.

I love that The Departed won. I think it is okay for a film that was ENTERTAINING and fun and well made to win the Oscar. I am all for message films as I think they are important, but it shouldn't mean you are a shoe-in to win the Oscar. Babel was good, but at times slow and needed to be edited.
