Of course, Forest Whitaker won the award for Best Actor, and his speech about the power of connection, along with that first moment he took to relish it all, completely warmed my heart. What do you think about this win?

Ryan Gosling was good, but his female counterpart in Half Nelson was what made the movie - he even admitted to it in his acceptance speech last night at the independent spirit awards. I agree with the winner of Best Actor though, Forest Whitaker gave an incredibly powerful, heart stopping performance... Nobody was more deserving than Forest Whitaker, I love him and his speech was fantastic. Especially after seeing how emotional he got at the Golden Globes,I was so happy to see him win--amazing actor!
