Vincent Piazza had his "stunning" girlfriend, Ashlee Simpson, on his arm at tonight's Screen Actors Guild Awards. The Boardwalk Empire star and his castmates took home a win in the outstanding performance by an ensemble in a drama series category, but before the trophy was given out, Vincent shared his feelings on the show's "tough" season finale and told us where he'd like to see his character go next season. Check out our chat now!
So, I'm a huge Boardwalk fan and I was so taken back by the finale. That was, God it was dark and and I guess the thing I walk away with is you start with an ensemble and to see friends go is tough, but its certainly an occupational hazard considering the type of story that we're telling. So, it was tough and sad to see friends go, but certainly shocking, because they don't tell us, and we just see it as an audience. What was it like to get that script and see what was going to happen to Michael's character? Well, I didn't. That was the whole thing. Because, you know, there's a, you didn't quite know how to end it. They shot multiple endings. So, they keep us kind of in the dark as to what's gonna happen and when you see it, it was, you know, it was tough to see. Pretty shocking. Yeah. Well where do you think it is going to pick up with Lucky this season? Well it looks like not only Lucky, but the whole show, we're going to fast forward to nineteen twenty-three when the twenties really started It's a roar and my character is now starting to really come into its own. Try to achieve as opposed to bite to achieve. So, we'll see hopefully, as he evolves. A little bit more of a boss man, Lucky. A little bit more of a boss than a thug. We'll see. He's growing. I hope we get to tell the whole story through the 20's, because he really changes. There's a big genesis coming from them. Now, I've noticed Ashley's here tonight. Do you guys kind of coordinate your look? No, I didn't, we didn't. I mean, it was easy for me, black and then she found this beautiful dress and she looks stunning and I saw that she's here tonight. Well, enjoy your evening and congratulations. Thank you so much, Lindsay.
