Da-da-da-da-da-da...I've been hankering for footage of The Smurfs ever since the brilliant likes of Neil Patrick Harris and Hank Azaria got involved. Their participation brought such promise for the redo of the TV series — but now that I've caught the first teaser, I'm a little let down. What starts out as quasi-charming spoof on blockbusters turns into a mash-up of the theme song and "Wild Thing" with a blink-and-you-miss-it look at the CGI blue buggers. That's it?!
