It was enough to make you want to tune in and was the performance you were most excited to hear tonight, so here it is: Gwyneth Paltrow performing "Country Strong" at this evening's CMA Awards in Nashville. It's a track from her holiday movie release of the same name, and all week Gwyneth has been talking about calming her nerves before her big national TV singing debut. She looked confident on stage, guitar in hand, showing off her amazing legs and impressive voice. Check out her show below and tell us — are you so impressed or was she out of place?

i really really don't like country music but i do like her and i think she did alright. the song was kinda lame though, but she rocked it. good job gwyneth!!

She did such a great job--I know it's dorky, but I was so proud of her! Beyond balls to pull off a live performance in front of that crowd. And without hiding her vocals. I'm sure they had Vince Gill with her, (basically the best you could have in country music backing you), for the possibility of him needing to carry her, and he didn't! I love how the band clapped for her too. And yes, the legs--to die for! Girlfriend just keeps doing everything well dammit!

Gweneth was fantastic. Honestly, I thought she would have no talent, but thankfully I was wrong! I don't like country music, but I would be willing to listen to Gweneth.

She seemed a little nervous but that's to be expected. It wasn't amazing, but it was not bad either.

She really IS quite an achiever. If she was not so busy creating a certain image of herself which I find difficult to like, I would actually admire her. I like her voice, strong and clear and no excessive attempt to sound "country". Well done.

The most boring song on the planet. At least it wasn't a song about her weight gain or weight loss, which is all she seems to know how to talk about when a camera is on her these days. Don't quit your day job.

You can tell she was nervous, but she did alright. I wanted to see the movie, but her accent in the trailers irritates the piss out of me.

she's pretty good!! i'm really impressed.. way to go Gwynie!! it really takes some balls to go up there and perform in front of country song singers, it's understandable to be nervous.. the guitar was too big and covered her tall slender body.. Can't wait for the movie to come out..

It was odd.. since it is a country western movie starring Paltrow and Meister and then three actual male country singers being pushed to the CMA crowd. It took balls to go out there and sing in front of that large a crowd of professionals and people in the music industry and she actually pulled it off. They gave her a standing ovation even which really surprised me. More out of place was Katherine Heigl..wth was she doing there?

I definitely wasn't expecting to like that, but she surprised me. She looks amazing and she can sing. I am impressed.

She did a good job! The guitar is not a prop. Granted, if you have some sort of musical talent and you practice it all together, it's not that hard to strum the basic chords while you sing.

She's nervous all right, she kept on blinking and at one point she almost made eye contact with her duet partner but turned her focus back to the audience abruptly. I bet she's like, "No, I'd lose my mojo!" Haha. Anyhow, not bad, that was a good performance. I've got a question though, is it standard practice for CMA's to let people promote their movies through them? This is an innocent question since I really have no clue.

Wow. I can't stand country music, but she sounded amazing. She can definitely sing, no doubt about it. She was incredibly poised and didn't miss a beat. Could her legs BE any better? Envious.
