It's hard to know what exactly to call tonight's episode of Scrubs. Series finale? Season finale? The Last Time You'll See Zach Braff On Scrubs Except Maybe That's Not Even True?
This was all a bit more clear-cut a year ago, when Scrubs made the leap from NBC to ABC for what was supposed to be its final season. Braff said he was done (though he's said he'd be willing to drop by again), and creator Bill Lawrence started working on another show. But within the past few months, there have been rumblings that Scrubs could keep going, even without Braff, Lawrence, or any of the other original cast members who move on to other jobs.
So maybe we should just call tonight JD's big farewell and leave it at that? The episode takes place during his final shift at Sacred Heart, and it's designed to give closure to a number of storylines. Whether we need that closure or not remains to be seen, but it looks like it should be a sweet reward for Scrubs fans who have stuck by the show for all these years. I'm a little confused. Were there two episodes last night? In the episode I saw, JD decides to leave Sacred Heart at the end of the month. It wasn't his final shift.
1oops. nevermind. there's a new episode tonight. I know it's time to end the show, but it's going to be sad to see JD leave. I've been watching this show since the beginning.

7The name of the song the last song played on tonight's season finale is "Book of Love" by Peter Gabriel. It would make a great first dance... what a beautiful song.
8I love scrubs, but it just wouldn't be the same to continue the show without JD. It was a great ending! Very satisfying for me (been a fan since season one).
Oh and if the picture has to be explained, then watch the show starting from season one! Scrubs has a lot of inside jokes that you can't pick up on if you only watch the show here and there.

13I loved this show and I will miss it. Even though the last couple of seasons were not as good I will miss Scrubs. I thought the finale was perfect and I hope that they do not bring it back. Scrubs should be done.
14The Scrubs finale was perfect, as long as it stays just that - a finale. You can't create an ending as beautiful as the Scrubs series finale and then make another season... it would completely undermine the impact of it. I love Scrubs but I hope that this is the end and the series doesn't conform to "milk it 'til it's dead" ideals. End on a high note, guys!
