Rabid fans everywhere have been waiting for the release of James Cameron's Avatar literally for years, and now there are just a few weeks to go. Back at Comic-Con, I got a long look at the movie, and I have to admit it that I wanted more after 30 minutes of footage. On the other hand, many of my friends and co-workers seem disinterested in the project entirely, especially with so many other anticipated movies hitting the theaters in December (more on that later this week). Check out a new clip below, and tell me where you stand — are you excited about Avatar?

i probably won't end up seeing it. however, i read about cameron's 32-year-adventure to make it just right. that's impressive. (from underwire.com) http://ow.ly/Fg17
1While I can appreciate all the work that went into this movie, but I'm not really that interested in seeing this. I'll probably see it when it comes out on dvd, but I'm just not excited about Avatar.
2I'm really excited to see it, which is odd, because I'm not usually in to this type of movie. I think the thing that really drew me in was the fact that there really seems to be a story there, it's not just about amazing effects and this world Cameron created. (Which I'm pretty amazed by in and of itself.)
3It's not that it looks "too much like a video game" to me, it's that it looks incredibly stupid, poorly written, and uninteresting.
4Suziryder, I agree completely... Look's pretty lame to me. I'm not into the whole sci-fi thing and I could care less how much time, effort, money, and special effects went in to a movie. I'd rather watch a good quality film any day than some big budget blockbuster.
5I am so excited to see AVATAR.
6It is gonna be like nothing anyone has ever seen before.
Once the film comes out, people will start to catch on, word of mouth will spread and everyone will go see it, again and again. It is gonna be a spectacular journey that will captivate the world.
Yes, it does look a bit like a video game, and the dialogue is not exactly 4 star level.... Ever notice how most bloggers still praise Jim Cameron despite this? If this were a just-as-mediocre Twilight movie, you can bet your life it would be slammed 10 times more.
7I really have no interest in seeing this movie, might rent it or netflix it later but at this point in time I don't want to see it. I don't think it looks like a video game and even if it did I'm not sure if that would turn me off to it. I'm more worried the story will drag and/or they'll try to pack too much into it in a short amount of time leaving me confused and irritated.
8I am really looking forward to Avatar. I hope that the story is as interesting as the sneak-peeks show!
