With "Veronica Mars" now officially dead — despite a last-ditch marshmallow and candy campaign by fans — series creator Rob Thomas is moving onto his next project: ABC's new sitcom "Miss Guided."
The sitcom, which ABC picked up for a mid-season premiere at May's Upfronts, stars Judy Greer as a guidance counselor who returns to work at her old high school, only to find that her high school nemesis has also joined the faculty. Thomas will run the show as executive producer.
Thomas also has said that DC Comics is interested in making the fourth season of "Veronica" into a comic series, and he's still mulling a "Veronica" screenplay, so even though the show is gone from TV, it's long from being forgotten. Meanwhile, you can check out a clip of "Miss Guided," and to see a gallery of photos from the show, read more

I am such a sucker for "teacher" films and shows; I'll be tuning into "Miss Guided" for sure.
1Me too!
2As a bitter ex-fan of Veronica Mars, I loved the first season, liked the second, and view the third as an abomination.
And since Rob Thomas has stated that he feels the reverse, I'm not sure I trust him enough to watch another of his shows, no matter how much I love Judy Greer.
But I don't want to put anyone off from watching the first two seasons, they really are fantastic.
3I really liked Veronica Mars. I love Nancy drew too.
4I love Veronica Mars especially Kristen Bell big time, it was good while it lasted, i hope there will be other great pics out there like that. Like 1missy i loved Nancy Drew, reading and watching it
, i really like mysteries/detective pics that have a plot and make you
think and also entertaining.
I hope this will not be the last of
Kristen Bell though! :'(
5"Who cares - Rob Thomas is a wh*re."
jk, that's not (exactly) the way a feel, that quote just seemed way too appropriate not to be mentioned. Miss Guided seems neat, though.
6Phonetic: I think exactly the same. I loved the first season to bits and I quite like the second, even with its flaws but the third? I began watching it but lost interest. It seems Rob Thomas is the only one who likes it. I don't trust him at all now but I hope this new series is good, like Veronicas' s1.
7I've liked Judy Greer ever since Jawbreaker. I hope she succeeds on TV.
8While I think season 1 was the best, I think season 3 was good too. I think the break ups with Logan turned people off. I can't wait to see what Rob can do for a new series and what's next for Veronica!
