Best Week Ever, VH1's weekly show skewering pop culture, may be on its way out. At the very least, the show will be off the air till January 2010 (though its companion, Best Day Ever, is scheduled to return in the Fall). Even host Paul F. Tompkins, who took over the show solo late last year, says he doesn't know what VH1 is thinking and the show's staff — including him — can't wait until 2010 for work.
Since Best Week Ever typically doesn't take months off at a time, there's speculation that this is the end for the show, which started in 2004. Then again, maybe it will just reinvent itself and come back in a new format. But I'm wondering what you think: Has Best Week Ever run its course? Or is there still life in the idea?

I liked the old format with all the different comedians but I don't like it now with JUST Paul F. Tompkins. It's not as funny so I guess I don't really care either way.
I love best week ever!! but I love the soup more. joel mchale is such hilarious.
I didn't even know this show was still going. It's a pretty funny show, but I lost interest after a while.
I thought it was a funny show when there was a variety of comedians on the show. With Just Paul Tompkins, it annoyed me and I never watch it. It can go!
Best Week Ever used to be hilarious. I loved it with the different comedians...i dont watch it as much with the just Paul....he's not that funny
Agree with the Paul F Tompkins comments. BWE did a somersault over the shark when it changed its format.
i use to love best week ever until pft took a sh*t on it
i agree with the comments about PFT. However, i love the website and hope that doesnt go away
I won't cry. I prefer to watch "The Soup", but I do enjoy "Best Week..." from time to time.
I used to watch it, but it went downhill a few years ago. Now I watch The Soup and Infomainia.
I used to enjoy watching Best Week Ever until all the comedians ended up sounding super scripted and then they changed the format and it totally sucked. The Soup has been and always will be 10,000 times better than BWE, although I do enjoy the BWE blog.
I liked it better when more comedians did it, not just Paul.
holycrap, that is still on?!
No, it started getting annoying after a while
I voted "NO", but it's not that the idea is past it's prime, it's just that the Soup does it waaaaay better.
And another big up for Infomania; the best show on TV
I love the Sugar network, love love love it, but Best Week Ever's blog is SO freakin' funny, it is also one of my daily reads. I literally laugh out loud every time I read it. I hope they keep the blog!
Miss it I will not, that's 30 more minutes to fill in with their incredible line of reality programming or other things that aren't Video Hits or One.
I was always curious when it wouldn't be on for awhile, as though the season's over. How hard is it to put random comedians in front of a blue screen, have them make jokes, edit, and done.
I used to like Best Week Ever when they first began airing it but then it just started getting less and less funny. The Soup is wayyy better! Joel Mchale is so funny unlike Paul F. Whatever his name is.No one will be missing the show if it gets cancelled.
Hello. I think the article is really interesting. I am even interested in reading more. How soon will you update your blog?
unless the other comedians come back in jan 2010, i will not be interested in watching. the show is not as funny with just paul
You are all nuts. PFT is hilarious. BWE was just another gossip show before PFT.
