New Moon hits the theaters today, and with it comes even more news about the future of Robert Pattinson's career: Uma Thurman has signed on to star opposite the heartthrob in the upcoming Bel Ami. Pattinson is George Duroy, a poor journalist who sleeps his way to the top in Paris, and Thurman will play the woman who eventually becomes his wife. Kristin Scott Thomas has also just signed on for the film.
Nicole Kidman's name was originally attached to the project, and I have to admit that I would have preferred to see her playing opposite Pattinson. Still, it should be interesting (to say the least) to see him in the arms of an older woman. Many of you aren't digging Pattinson's Remember Me costar Emilie de Ravin (check out the trailer here), but are you more intrigued to see him alongside one of Hollywood's seasoned veterans?

1grr don't like her and definitely cant get into any movie with a young male/ older female lead, I only made it through the proposal because I loved Ryan Reynolds.
2I really wish their first pick for this movie(Nicole Kidman) could have worked out her schedule to do this film. I am not a fan of Kidman but I would much rather see her then Uma.
3EMILY BLUNT! I think Rob and Emily would be a great pairing and I hope I get to see those 2 work together some day!

Not me! I would take Uma over Nicole any day. Uma's roles are more rare and she's an amazing actress with a very diverse body of work. Besides, she's a goddess.
6I think Nicole kidman would of been a better choice than Uma. An even better choice than that would of been Charlize Theron, Rob and her would of made a beautiful on screen couple!
7If the story has lots of romance or cuddling (u know what I mean), I would prefer Nicole. They would make a very good-looking couple. Uma I think comes across as emotionally distant or maybe I've watched the Kill Bill movies too many times. It doesn't really matter who it is----Rob will still look sizzling hot!
8Poor Rob, with the manic Twihards, any other lady he works with will be scrutinized and possibly hated.... ridiculous.
