It's Official: Breaking Dawn Will Be Two Movies

Hold on to your fangs, Twi-hards, because there's a lot more Pattinson, Stewart, and Lautner coming our way. There have been rumors swirling for months about the fate of the fourth Twilight novel, Breaking Dawn, and today it's been confirmed that the fourth installment will be divided into two movies.

There's still no director on tap, but production is reportedly scheduled to start next October. This means we'll still probably have to wait almost a year between Eclipse and Breaking Dawn Part One, but at least we know it's coming.

There's a lot of ground to cover in that last novel, and personally I'm a lot more interested in how they are going to tackle certain, um, situations. Are you buckled up and ready for three more movies?

the only thing that sucks about it is the fact that after these 2 movies itll be done. i love it wat too much for it to be over with. i didnt get into it until about a month ago. (very busy life with working and kids) but i have watched all the movies and am on the 2nd book. i am absolutely captivated by the story.

i think if you're a twihard fan it doesn't matter if it 2 movies or 1 just as long as its detailed and being made because for a while we didn't know if they were gonna make Breaking Dawn so really I'm just glad its being made and finishing what it starred cuz it would be sad to only be stuck with 3 movies knowing how awesome the last movie is.

I absolutely loved all 4 book even though i felt bd was alil too long and hard to follow at times with all the families i think 2 movies are completely needed its wayy to much to cover and yes some real details were left out of the other movies... I also agree with what others were saying about the acting!!! RP isnt to bad as edward i think he has gotten better but KS! omg shes a hot mess she has a real hard time portraying bella's vulnerability and the insecurities that make her so easy to relate to when reading the story i just dont like her acting at all neone else agree?/

I am glad to hear they are making it into two movies. There is too much to cover in Breaking Dawn for it all to be in one. I really wonder if the cast has read the books thoroughly?? Allot of important pieces have been left out of the first two movies (however the first is still my favorite) and I would hate to see them screw up the last three films. READ THE BOOKS CAST MEMBERS!! Your fans will love you that much more. Don't add in stupid lines, Stephanie Meyer had it right and there was not need for any change...well...maybe on the honeymoon sex scene I waited so long for that was completely skipped over : ( That was terrible!! Cannot wait til June 30th!! Love all of my Twi cast!! Make us melt in our seats!!!

i am glad that breaking dawn is going to be made into 2 parts. it is the best book out of the 4. i was very pleased with twilight but i was a little disappointed with new moon - maybe because rob p was not in it very much - who knows. lets hope eclipse is much better. i cant wait!

Thank the lord they are making a BD movie......but it would be completely stupid to make it in 3D it would totally ruin the movie us twilight fans love so much!!!!!

I'm fine with two movies... I'm just scared of Renesme looking way too fake with possible CGI overload. That's all I'm worried about with Breaking Dawn.

well I'm really happy that they are going to make two films ! :D. and i actually think that twilight and new moon was amazing , so i cant wait to see what they do to get all the book into these two films. it be amazing to see how they do some scene to, as when you read them it really hard to see how they are going to work it out ? but hey they could do me wrong and make the best film ever. :D

Two movies is a good idea. One of my complaints about both the Twilight and New Moon movies is how much got cut out from the books to fit the stories into two hour movies. Hopefully with a little more time to tell the story, the movies will be better.

I love these books & movies, but I'm not sure BD has enough content to make two full length movies. I'm so afraid they are going to change a bunch of stuff just for filler. Actually of any of the books, BD could probably be condensed the best. All I know is that New Moon was so good because it stuck to the book very well. Please don't ruin this. Besides, what they really need to do is get this movie started. They jumped on the first 3, all of which are already completed, but they don't even have a script or director for BD. Are they waiting for these people to be in their 30's?

i'm actually really happy that they are making it into 2 movies - and here's to hoping that they are able to really make the scenes from the book come to life. i'm just imaging how they will re-create all the families that come to help the cullens, and hopefully unlike the students at Forks High, they won't blend families to condense personalities - we really need to see ALL the families uniquely.

no, you're not the only one who thinks Kris & Rob, especially Rob, didn't do the roles in the best way. I was disappointed of the movies too, though I like Twilight much more than New moon..actually I made this post only to say that this scene (the photo they've posted) was the most ridiculous thing in New moon... can't stop laughing really

I'm happy and excited, but I'm also scared and unsure. Love the books, but Twilight and New Moon the film have sadly disappointed me greatly... to the point where I'm wondering what was so great about the story in the first place. Don't get me wrong, New Moon was much, MUCH better than Twilight however the characters were awkward (except for Taylor Lautner as Jacob). Am I the only one who thinks Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson don't play their characters well? They look great together, but their acting is so awkward and dull and as if they are both constipated! Eclipse and Breaking Dawn can't possibly get any worse? Can they?!

I'm glad they finally decided and happy it's going to be 2 movies. There's so much to cover with this book and I can't wait to see what they come up with.
