I first heard about Motherhood during the Sundance Film Festival, but now there's a full-length trailer to see. Not unlike the classic Parenthood, the film focuses on the frustrating, messy (and often comical) side of being a parent — except this time it's all about the matriarch. Sure, Anthony Edwards (Goose!) is there as the somewhat clueless husband, but the focus is on Eliza Welsh's (Uma Thurman) life as the seemingly last stay-at-home mom in the world. As she suffers the scrutiny of everyone from playground moms to snarky cashiers, frazzled Eliza finally finds time for herself by writing for a parenting magazine. The movie looks like it might have a few funny moments, but it also looks pretty touchy-feely. To check out the preview and let me know what you think, read more.

I think it looks sweet but I do get tired of parenthood being portrayed as this exhausting, terrible thing - IT'S NOT THAT HARD! and I take real offense to the statement "the last stay-at-home mom in the world" - what the hell are they talking about? have they gone into the world and seen how many women are happy and fulfilled being stay-at-home mothers who don't have to have careers to feel fulfilled? or have they actually allowed themselves to be brainwashed by the media that a stay-at-home mom is the crazy anomaly that only a stupid simpleton would do?! motherhood is the most wonderful gift a women can recieve, and while not every women may find happiness and complete fulfillment in it, it is also not some alien idea to be looked down upon...

Looks terrible. And embarrassing for mothers everywhere. Uma just looks uncomfortable.

Saw this movie at Sundance and it was PAINFUL to sit through. Just a terrible attempt at depicting "motherhood is hard, motherhood is a balancing act, blah blah blah". If you really have to see it, wait until it comes out on DVD.

Uma Thurman is a Hollywood star. I am a big fan of her. She always looking amazing on screen. I love to watch her movie. I just seen "Motherhood" promo http://www.clipta.com/Motherhood_Trailer__v6815087801 and extremely excited to watch this movie.
