The Help

In this adaptation of the best-selling novel, Emma Stone leads up the cast as Skeeter, an ambitious young journalist in 1960s Mississippi. When she starts paying attention to what the maids in her community endure, she finds a story, and with their help, publishes an explosive book. The range of great performances from the ensemble, especially Octavia Spencer, Jessica Chastain, and Viola Davis, make this a moving must-see. The DVD extras include deleted scenes and a Mary J. Blige music video for "The Living Proof."

The Hangover Part II

Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms, and Zach Galifianakis reunite in this sequel to the raucous 2009 hit, but this time they're in Thailand for Stu's wedding. When they black out after a night of drinking, they wake up to find they've lost the bride's little brother and embark on a wild ride through Bangkok. Though this follow-up is raunchier and darker than the original, it's not necessarily funnier (and the formula is exactly the same). The extras on the DVD include a gag reel, a laugh track, and several featurettes.

The Hangover 2

The Hangover Part II Is the Highest-Grossing R-Rated Comedy of All Time

No matter how many of us cringed and rolled our eyes in the face of The Hangover Part II, Todd Phillips and the cast are certainly getting the last laugh.

No matter how many of us cringed and rolled our eyes in the face of The Hangover Part II, Todd Phillips and the cast are certainly getting the last laugh. After another solid weekend at the box office, the sequel just became the highest-grossing R-rated comedy of all time worldwide, taking in $488 million. (The record was formerly held by the original Hangover.)

I can't say I'm surprised that the hit comedy retained its loyal fan base, but I thought poor reviews may have held the film back from surpassing the original. Did you expect the sequel to garner this much success?

In second place was Super 8 with $21.2 million, followed by Mr. Popper's Penguins, which took in $18.2 million in its opening weekend.

The Hangover Part II slipped to fourth with $9.6 million, followed by Kung Fu Panda 2, which clung on to to the top five with $8.7 million. Woody Allen's Midnight in Paris continued to make waves as it rolled out into more theaters and earned $5.2 million this weekend.

Oh La La! Bradley Cooper Proves It's Hot When Guys Speak a Foreign Language

With his piercing blue eyes, impressive acting and comedy skills, and friendly demeanor, Bradley Cooper couldn't be any hotter.

With his piercing blue eyes, impressive acting and comedy skills, and friendly demeanor, Bradley Cooper couldn't be any hotter. Unless, say, he spoke fluent French. This past weekend, the star of The Hangover Part II, or Very Bad Trip 2 in France, came on French TV to discuss the movie's popularity, getting his big break after 30, and the possibility of a third Hangover movie (he said he'd be down). And thanks to his time living with a French family while studying abroad, Brad gave the entire interview in French! Watch him speak the language of love. I bet the hotness will translate even if you don't speak anything but English.

The Hangover Might Get a Third Installment — Are You In For One More Ride?

This is a hangover you can't recover from.

This is a hangover you can't recover from. In the wake of The Hangover Part II's box office success (it's the biggest opening for a comedy, ever) comes the news that the sequel's screenwriter Craig Mazin is in talks to write a third Hangover movie. Though the story's details are being kept secret, it's safe to say that another film would reunite the wolf pack members Bradley Cooper, Zach Galifianakis, and Ed Helms, who've proven that they make a great team.

Since my biggest complaint about The Hangover Part II was that it was uncomfortably close to the original, my first instinct is to assume that a third movie would be more of the same. Or would it? Director Todd Phillips has mentioned that he would break the mold of the first two films if there were a third movie. But even with a plot shake-up, audiences could be tiring of the characters and their shenanigans. It's time for you to weigh in — do you want to see a third Hangover?

Box Office: The Hangover Part II Takes the Top Spot and Breaks Records

Good news is much nicer to wake up to than an actual hangover, especially when it's this: The Hangover Part II topped the Memorial Day weekend box office with $86.5 million, and combined with its Thursday totals, which push it to $118.1 million, it's the biggest opening of all time for a comedy.

Trailing it in the second spot was Kung Fu Panda 2, also in its debut weekend, which earned $48 million.

Yet another sequel, Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, came in third place with $39.3 million, followed by the female-friendly comedy Bridesmaids with $16.4 million. Finally, action flick Thor rounded out the top five, with a total of $9.4 million.
