Taylor Lautner Cast as Stretch Armstrong in 3D Movie Adaptation

Taylor Lautner can't seem to keep his muscles out of his casting choices: the young actor has been cast as Stretch Armstrong, beloved old school action figure. No plot details about the movie are known yet, except that it'll cost you a little more to see — the movie will be in 3-D.

Lautner's role as Stretch Armstrong is just the latest in a string of action movies for the Twilight heartthrob. He's also recently nailed down jobs in Northern Lights as a hotshot pilot, a wrestler in the remake of Vision Quest, and a beach-bound hero in the thriller Cancun.

I would have envisioned someone a little blonder in the role (the doll was a towhead after all), but I'm more curious about how he'll be portrayed — as a superhero? As a toy come to life? As a sideshow act?
