What a strange road it's been for "Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip," the show that started as a buzzed-about pilot, became a critical disaster, and is finally slinking to a conclusion. In a year full of high-profile television flops ("The Black Donnellys," "The Nine," "Six Degrees"), this was certainly one of the biggest.
I wasn't a fan of "Studio 60"; the comedy bits weren't that funny, Aaron Sorkin's dialogue seemed to lack its usual snap, and Amanda Peet never convinced me she could pull off playing a tough-chick executive. Still, the show had its great elements — the reveal of Matthew Perry as a strong dramatic actor among them — and I'm still enough of a Sorkin fan to be excited to see what his next project will be.
In the meantime, "Studio 60" tonight will conclude the three-part "K&R" arc, which so far has featured pregnancy complications, a proposal, a kidnapping, and loads of flashbacks to Matt and Danny's original firing from the show. (The show officially concludes next week.) Fans: With two episodes to go, do you think the show can wrap things up in a satisfying way?

I am a bit behind on Studio 60 - I have 3 episodes in my DVR that I haven't watched yet. I was super excited about this show, but when I heard that it was going to be cancelled I had to detach.
1I shut it off in the episode where Jordan said she hadn't felt the baby move and never watched it again. To tell you the truth, I'm happy to have my Thurs. night totally free for a while.
So, did she lose the baby?
2The finale is actually next week - tonight is the conclusion of the 3 parter.
3My TiVo says that next week is the season finale. I am so confused.
4I guess I'm one of the few people who liked the show. I will miss it. I love Matthew Perry, and I've really enjoyed Bradley Whitford and Amanda Peet on the show.
5I'm going to miss it, too.
6I hope they at least give me a DVD. Bradley Whitford and Matt Perry had the best chemistry on the show. And it's been great to see Timothy Busfield again. I planned my Tuesdays around "thirtysomething" when I was in college.
i will miss this show...i SO adore matthew perry and bradley whitford!
and yes, the series finale is next week. "K&R part 3" is tonight and "what kind of day has it been" is next week.
7I'm sorry, everyone -- my listings had this episode as the finale! Thanks for catching the mistake, and I've fixed up the post now.
8I really really really really really liked this show and I'm very sad that it was canceled.
9This is one of the few shows that I've watched every single show. Then again, it did start when I first got my TiVo. FYI: Anyone who hasn't invested in one *really* *really* should invest. I love my TiVo, I love it even more than than my husband does, then again I barley let him have the control.
. Back to the show .
I loved the click between Matthew and Bradley. I never totally bought the whole president and head of show connection, in other words, amanda and bradley. Nonetheless, I love Studio 60 and I an very sad.
I enjoyed it too!! BOO - Matthew Perry and Bradley Whitford are so hilarious, and their comedic timing is perfection.
I hope there is a DVD too.
10i really like this show. i'm sad to see it go. why didn't more people watch it???
11i lOVE this show!
