Tonight, yet another canceled show bites the dust for good. Actually, this next week or so will be a bit of an ABC canceled show wrap-up, as Eli Stone ends tonight and Dirty Sexy Money begins its run of the final four episodes next Saturday, July 18. Here's what to expect from Eli's farewell episode:
As Eli tries to unravel the mystery of who among his friends may meet their fate on the doomed plane, he and Keith take on the case of a woman named Diane who's in need of a heart transplant, but the religious parents of a donor refuse to give her their daughter's heart to her because she is an atheist. Little does Eli know that the heart he is fighting for will take on greater significance. Meanwhile Taylor and Matt get engaged, and Maggie's faith in Eli is tested.
Will you miss Eli? Do you think the show should have gotten more of a chance? Or are you already over it?

We've already had this episode aired in Australia. I don't think it worked as a series finale. To be honest, I love Eli Stone and I really would have liked it to continue. The finale does tie up some loose ends but I think it also created more questions and sort of left things open-ended.
1I totally agree that Eli Stone should not have been cancelled. The finale, I feel, did not really tie up any thing! It created more questions than anything! What happens to WS and Associates now? What happens between Maggie and Eli? Does she go back to WS and Associates? Do Taylor and Matt really get married? So much more for additional seasons! It was crazy for ABC to cancel the show. I have a feeling that because it talked so much about God some big wigs got scared and didn't think the viewership would appreciate it. They were wrong!
2So I meant Jordan and Matt...darn unisex names!
3Does anyone know the name of the final song on this episode? It had "It's a brand new day.....I'll be okay" in it. Loved it, would love to know who sang it and the title.
4i believe its called brand new day by joshua radin
5Eli and Maggie get married. THEY ARE the soul mates. Her faith was tested and she came back, just as Eli was born again after dying in the premonition. The heart that was passed from Dianne to Grace allowed them to be born again (be it a short time for Diane). The heart represents passing that love on to another, just as Eli's "Dad" did to him in the final goodbye, just as Maggie did by getting off the plane, and by Eli as he ran to save her.
6While I am more than dissappointed that the show got canceled, I think the finale was very good all things considered. I thought some of the last few episodes were a little forced trying to get everything in before it was over, but the ending fit very well with the tone the show had established over it's two seasons. I just wish it wouldn't have had to end
7Again one of the best shows bites the dust! This show covered the whole gambit form drama, mystery, love, and even moral issues. Its bad when you do not even try different time slots or even more star guest spots. Its probably due to a lack of promotion or a company not standing behind its better family programing. Thanks ABC !!!
