TV Tonight: Desperate Housewives

Some pretty ridiculous things have happened over the past four years on Wisteria Lane, but a tornado? That's what's on tap on tonight's Desperate Housewives, when a twister touches down right in the middle of town to blow everyone's secrets wide open. (I'd apologize for the bad tornado joke, but I think we might as well get used to them before this episode begins.)

ABC's official description of the episode says the tornado "will destroy homes and lives," but Wisteria Lane's residents have been doing a pretty good job on the "lives" part already this season, what with Mike's pill addiction, Bree's faux son, Gaby's messed-up marriage and Katherine's mysterious, um, everything. i dont think Gaby & Carlos lost the money. they just lost the paperwork they needed to have access to it when they left the country. his accountant should still have something. and hopefully those papers got completely destroyed by the tornado! i had hoped that Victor would be the husband that would die since he and Gaby were still technically married. as for losing a friend, i dont know. what leeluvfashion said about it being Gaby & Carlos leaving Fairview was a good idea. i don't think that Lynette's family is dead. i don't think that the writers/show would do that. it's not that dark. she beats cancer only to have her whole family die in a tornado? no. they're okay. i was kinda bummed that Susan had a baby scare by falling down the stairs... a la Gaby when she was pregnant. at least she didn't miscarry but Mike is getting scary. i'm so glad she didn't give him one of her pain pills. btw is she still writing children's books or is Mike the sole breadwinner now? and as for Adam having a snake tattoo and then having it completely removed... that's kinda lame. i think Bree would have noticed a huge scar on his shoulder.

Oh man, this episode was so good! I was tearing at the end, poor Lynette! I actually thought Tom was going to die when I saw her yell out in the previews, I am sort of glad it wasn't him. Its nice to know Victor is out of the picture though I think they wrapped up the Gabby-Carlos-Victor story too fast. I laughed when that crazy chick Sylvia got blown away, what a whack job! I hope this strike ends quickly so that we can find out what happens.

I don't think Gaby has to leave now that Victor is dead- doubt very much there is any way to survive a spike through you. It was Mrs. McClucky's home that was completely destroyed- not Lynette's, but her whole family was in the basement. I bet that Ida-the other older woman in the basement- will die and the family survives. They'll probably take in Mrs. McClucky since her home was destroyed-IMO. How long will we have to wait? Ugh :RANT:

I think the 'friend' lost was the crazy woman that what's her face spit on. She was whisked away with the tornado! Definitely an amazing episode. I hope Lynette's family is alright under there. Poor woman just doesn't ever catch a break for very long.

The show tonight was so MAJOR! I was just on the edge of my seat and at the end when Lynette saw the house and started screaming, I started crying. It was so emotional.

i cried towards the end when lynette started screaming! has she lost everything?? is carlos alive?? what happened to susan and mike??? AHH the suspense!! i hope the strike gets resolved soon..cuz i dont know how long i can wait!

Hmm, good point leeluvfashion! Maybe the "friend" leaving is Gabby, since she & Carlos were planning to move away. But wow, this episode was crazy. I watched it with a group of good friends, & we were screaming & squealing throughout the last 10 minutes of the show! It was so dramatic, but in a good way I guess. Overly dramatic at times, but justifiably so. The end where Lynette saw what happened to the house was heart-wrenching. :(

Loved this episode! I can't believe that I have to wait to find out what happened. I think when they said "lose a friend" that it represents Gabby leaving w/ Carlos.

Yeah that's what I was thinking but I think they said they'd ALL be losing a friend and well the cat is only Mrs McClusky's friend's friend.

Ahhh... can't believe it ended with no previews or idea of when it'll be back! This show has gotten so great and has now left us in total suspense!

I haven't seen this show since the beginning of the second season. Personally I think it sucks now. I don't even know what season this is. BUT, this episode seemed interesting (and is so far) so I turned it on.

"Bree's faux daughter" huh? do you mean son? Oh and I read this is a two part episode and that they only have tonight's scheduled and that they won't show the 2nd part until the writers and studios get everything worked out so that they can have a lead in to the new episodes and make sure we start watching again once the strike is over. Do you know if that is true Buzz?
