Your Summer 2015 Movie Guide Is Here

This weekend means Summer is basically here, but the Summer blockbuster season has already kicked off. Studios have been releasing their tentpole titles, and it's not just huge movies that will be coming out — indies, comedies, and horror films are all slated to hit the big screen over the next few months. We've narrowed down the movies you need to know about so you can gear up and decide what you're already excited for.

Avengers: Age of Ultron

Avengers: Age of Ultron

  • Who's starring: The Avengers you know and love will be back, like Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, and Chris Hemsworth, alongside new stars Elizabeth Olsen and Aaron Taylor-Johnson as twins Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver.
  • Why you should be interested: Marvel has an excellent track record in putting out high-octane, entertaining fare, and this should be no different. On the flip side, the trailers are so foreboding, we want to make sure everyone makes it out alive.

Pitch Perfect 2

  • Who's starring: Anna Kendrick, Rebel Wilson, Anna Camp, plus some newbies like Hailee Steinfeld. See everyone in the cast here.
  • Why you should be interested: The original a cappella comedy is already a classic, and we've been craving more since that came out.

Mad Max: Fury Road

  • Who's starring: Tom Hardy, Charlize Theron, and Nicholas Hoult.
  • Why you should be interested: Hardy and Theron look unbelievably fierce in this reboot, which might be one of the best action movies of the Summer.

Tomorrowland

  • Who's starring: George Clooney and Britt Robertson.
  • Why you should be interested: Disney brings to life one of its crown jewels, and Clooney in a family-friendly flick is enough to get us to the theater.

  • Who's starring: Adrian Grenier, Jeremy Piven, Jerry Ferrara, Kevin Connolly, and Kevin Dillon.
  • Why you should be interested: Vincent Chase is back! Good old-fashioned nostalgia for the HBO comedy will get us in the theaters, plus the sheer amount of cameos in the trailer makes it worth it.
