Stars on the Set

Jennifer Garner popped up on her Cleveland, OH, set Monday to film Draft Day. She was joined by costar Denis Leary, who plays the Cleveland Browns head coach in the film about the team's struggle to land the No. 1 draft pick. When Jennifer and Denis weren't shooting scenes together, the actress laughed with crew members and got help adjusting her pencil skirt. Her office attire is fitting, seeing as she will take on the part of Kevin Costner's secretary in the football drama.

Over the weekend, Jennifer addressed the meaning of work on a deeper level with a surprise Saturday Night Live appearance with husband Ben Affleck. Amid Ben's hosting duties, he invited his wife on stage to clear up his Oscar acceptance speech. A smiling Jennifer joked about calling their marriage a "gift" rather than work and ended her visit by thanking Ben and saying, "You're a lot of work."

Drake popped up on the set of Anchorman: The Legend Continues sporting an Afro for an afternoon in front of the cameras in NYC on Saturday. He joined the original cast — including Will Ferrell, Christina Applegate, Paul Rudd, Steve Carell, and David Koechner — who were also on hand for the day of filming. Drake isn't the only star making a cameo in the film since Tina Fey and Amy Poehler shot scenes with Sacha Baron Cohen in Atlanta earlier this month, and Liam Neeson, John C. Reilly, Kirsten Dunst, and Harrison Ford have also gotten in front of the cameras for the sequel. There's even more star power to come with Kristen Wiig and Nicole Kidman also signed on to make appearances.

It was a big week in filming with love interests and villains appearing on movie and TV sets this week. Katie Holmes and Luke Kirby sparked chemistry for Mania Days in NYC, while Lena Dunham celebrated her 27th birthday with an ice cream cone during shoots for Girls. Across town, Andrew Garfield hung on tight during a faceoff with The Amazing Spider-Man 2's newest villain, The Rhino, played by Paul Giamatti. Bradley Cooper was sporting tight curls for an afternoon of work on American Hustle with Amy Adams in NYC yesterday. The set of David O. Russell's latest film has seen many interesting looks due to its '70s setting, and Amy kept up with the trend in a revealing V-neck dress for her latest day in front of the cameras. Amy and Bradley star along with Jennifer Lawrence, who is currently in Cannes promoting her other film, Catching Fire.

Bradley has been pulling double duty lately since he's filming his latest project while also promoting the finale of his Hangover trilogy. The Hangover Part III hits theaters on Thursday, and Bradley made a fun promotional stop on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon in the Big Apple earlier this week. He took on the host in a hilarious game of "faceketball" while chatting up the film.

Ben Stiller got a special visit from his wife, Christine Taylor, while filming The Secret Life of Walter Mitty in NYC today. Ben and his costar Kristen Wiig have been working on reshoots over the past few days for their upcoming film, which Ben both directs and stars in. He took a break from his duties today to hug Christine but got into character yesterday drinking coffee with his onscreen love interest, Kristen.

While Ben is focused on the big screen, Kristen is taking time to celebrate her latest television comeback. Last weekend, Kristen returned to host her first episode of Saturday Night Live since her departure last year and participated in a hilarious pre-Mother's Day skit. She is also set to voice an FBI agent on an episode for The Simpsons' 25th season that will air in the Fall.

Katie Holmes filmed scenes for Spike Lee's latest producing project, Mania Days, in NYC yesterday. She started working on the movie late last month but was joined by costar Luke Kirby on Tuesday. The duo shot scenes in front of a church, held hands while walking on the sidewalk, and got caught up in fits of laughter. In the film, Katie and Luke play two manic depressives who find each other in a psychiatric hospital and develop a romance centered on their conditions.

Katie was in a different kind of spotlight last week when she made a stunning Met Gala red carpet appearance. The actress will remain in front of the cameras for a while, though, since she's also tied to another romantic comedy, Responsible Adults, alongside Chace Crawford.

This week a handful of movie and television sets were busy with shoots. While Zac Efron showed off more than just his basketball skills for Townies in LA, Cameron Diaz and Leslie Mann put in plenty of hours and acted out a fight on their Big Apple set. Also in NYC, Megan Fox was up in the air for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles alongside Will Arnett, and Vince Vaughn revved up a motorcycle engine in Atlanta for Anchorman 2. Ryan Gosling was hard at work on the set of his directorial debut, How to Catch a Monster, in Detroit last night. He shot a scene with Mad Men star Christina Hendricks and Matt Smith, who looked decidedly different from his usual Dr. Who garb. Ryan was in serious work mode on set, even though he recently became the subject of yet another meme. A Vine user hit the Internet jackpot when he started making clips of Ryan Gosling refusing to eat cereal and posting them on the new social networking app. Meme-ification aside, Ryan has a big Summer ahead of him as he prepares for the release of his new film Only God Forgives — don't forget to check out Ryan and more hot stars in Summer blockbusters!

Anchorman: The Legend Continues is shaping up to be a star-studded affair! On set in Atlanta yesterday, Tina Fey and Amy Poehler were armed with crowbars as they shot a fight scene with Sacha Baron Cohen while Liam Neeson and John C. Reilly posed with extras while holding swords and muskets. Meanwhile, Kirsten Dunst and Jim Carrey arrived on set to get ready for their cameos alongside the original Anchorman stars Will Ferrell, Paul Rudd, and Steve Carell. This week's cast of characters aren't the only stars who will be appearing in the movie. Harrison Ford hit the set in March, when it was also confirmed that Nicole Kidman and Kristen Wiig will all be featured in guest roles for the comedy, which is slated to hit theaters later this year on Dec. 20.

Megan Fox transformed into an intrepid reporter when she shot several scenes for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles with Will Arnett in NYC yesterday. While the turtles themselves didn't make an appearance, Megan did jump on a trampoline, ride a bicycle, and get into an argument with Will's cameraman character. The fight was only for show, as the two joked around with Megan's sun-shielding umbrella after they wrapped the scene.

Megan originally dyed her hair red to play the famously auburn-haired character, but it looks like she's gone for a darker hue than when she first started filming.
