While I'm loving the newly released The Amazing Spider-Man, I've seen 2002's Spider-Man easily a dozen times. However, Joe Manganiello's appearance in the movie slipped under my radar somehow — until now. The True Blood star (who's also currently sexing it up in Magic Mike) plays Flash, the bully who Peter Parker (Tobey Maguire) spills his tray of food on in the lunchroom. He's sporting an attitude that eventually gets knocked out of him when the newly powerful Peter embarrasses him in a hallway fight. I'm debating whether I prefer Manganiello in this role or the new incarnation played by Chris Zylka. What's your take?

With WonderCon hitting San Francisco this weekend, I have superheroes on the brain. I asked you which of the upcoming comic book crusader movies you were most excited about the other day, but now I'm looking to the past. Lots of great actors have filled the tights (or rubber, in some cases) of famous superheroes on screen, so I put together some of my favorites for your perusing pleasure.
Earlier today we got our first peek at Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker in the Spider-Man reboot, and it was only a matter of time before we compared Spider-Man 2.0 to Tobey Maguire's version. We won't know more about how well Garfield works as Peter Parker until 2012 (though hopefully the trailer will drop before that), but we can still judge purely on aesthetics. Garfield is definitely scrawnier than Maguire, though his suit is a bit grittier looking than the version we've grown used to. Who gets your vote for sexier Spider-Man?

We already got a taste of Garfield's chemistry with Emma Stone on the set of the film, but here's the real deal. It's just a tease, but I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that he's looking pretty good. We officially can't wait to see more, but what say you?
