Song of the Day: Rilo Kiley, "After Hours"

It's always fun to find an obscure track from one of your favorite bands, and Rilo Kiley is definitely one of mine. I remember RK frontwoman Jenny Lewis from back in her Troop Beverly Hills days, so it's very cool to hear her and the rest of the LA-based band covering the Velvet Underground's "After Hours." Lewis's voice is quite a departure from Maureen Tucker's, and the band really does a nice job with this up-tempo live version of the VU's end-of-party lullaby.
