I was pleasantly surprised to see how many of you share my love for Jens Lekman when I posted "Friday Night at the Drive-In Bingo" a few months back. So you'll be glad to know that the cheeriest indie-pop star ever to come out of Goteburg, Sweden, just released his third album this week.
Called Night Falls Over Kortedala and now streaming online, the album is relentlessly perky, peppered with swinging orchestral horns and strings, bouncing melodies, and Lekman's signature serenade. I'm not feeling his music.
He crams the words all together to try and make them fit and it's just confusing. And alot of the words don't make sense.
Maybe it's just my age. I'm probably too old for his stuff.
