Song of the Day: The Broken West, "You Can Build an Island"

Well, it's the weekend, and I think this calls for some happy, jangly pop music! Consider The Broken West, who have possibly the most appropriate band name I've heard this year. The Los Angeles quintet plays to the laid-back musical conventions of the West Coast — think CSN&Y and the Beach Boys — while also shattering the traditional SoCal sound.
