When romantic comedy Something Borrowed comes out next month, fans of Emily Giffin's book will get to see whether the movie adaptation lives up to the chick-lit original. The trailer gave us a look at the cast of Kate Hudson, Ginnifer Goodwin, John Krasinski, and Colin Egglesfield as they navigate their complicated love mess, and now I have a ton of pictures to share from the film. You also get a peek at some of the side characters like Marcus (Steve Howey — Hudson's Bride Wars costar), so check them out and get ready for the May 6 release!

I'm so excited to see this movie. I think Kate will make the perfect Darcy! It's been a while since I have read the books so I might need to brush up before "Something Borrowed" hits theaters.

ChelMarie, I heart you! I thought I went a little crazy with the length of my post. If I remember correctly, there was a scene in the book where Rachel told Darcy that she wasn't interested in Dex and only saw him as a friend and she truly felt that way. I could go on and on but I don't think I should. I just don't love Dex (or Colin as Dex but if the movie sucks I'm fine with hating him for life). I wish he was the sort of guy who stuck with one person at a time. I found it a little disturbing that he made time to see Rachel when he could have been using that time to think about where his relationship with Darcy was going and just break up with her. I don't know...I just feel like in the end Darcy won the big prize (Ethan) which is funny because we hated her in the first book. Also, I would have really loved to see Rachel and Darcy discuss their friendship. I feel like they focused too much on their relationship with the guys and not enough about the long ass relationship they had. There was no scene like that in the book whatsoever. Don't get me wrong I love the books and I didn't think Something Blue could top Something Borrowed but it did for me. I felt it had more heart and it actually made me cry (lame, I know). I guess I just wish that Something Borrowed had as much heart as it had sex scenes.

Oh, and about Ginnifer---not who I pictured, but she'll do. I thought more a Rachel McAdams-type---especially when Dex described Rachel as one of those women who are just naturally stunning without any help.

@#4----Okay, it's been awhile since I've read the books, so cut me some slack if I'm remembering wrong, but I didn't see Dex as sleazy or pervy. Clearly, there was a connection back in college between Dex+Rachel, but neither had the gumption to do anything about it thinking their feelings one-sided. So they both sort of buried their feelings--and while they didn't get over each other persay---I think they buried them deep enough where upon they could have legitimate relationships with others. And it wasn't until Rach's b-day party that everything reaaally came back up to the surface. Dex and Darcy were already having issues within their relationship, and not to blame it all on Darcy (as I too came to love her in Something Blue)--but she sort of had it coming to her. Oh and about JK as Ethan---I LOVE the casting. Yes, John can play goofy, but he has great range as he's displayed on The Office (particularly the seasons where in which Jim was yearning for Pam). Ethan is a laidback, normal, cute guy---I think JK is perfect! But that's just me, I understand how you feel (it's how I feel about the casting for Dex). UGH!

Good eye @ care. I didn't notice she was reading the book. Hmm. I don't love the casting of John. I LOVE John as an actor but it just doesn't feel right. He has the banter and everything though but I expected someone different. Same with Kate but she can play a bitch like no other so I have no problem with that. To be honest I don't have good feelings about the movie. Something about a woman taking her best friend's man almost works in a book but it's too much for a movie. Someone please help me understand something. I read the book a while ago but I still can't figure out why Dex spent 7 years with Darcy and why Rachel kept a friend who was that crappy. I mean, weren't they supposed to be the smart ones? Also, how convenient is it that he cheated on Darcy after he got engaged. You'd think he'd be more committed to her than ever and he acts as if Rachel wasn't around him all the time during the years he was with Darcy. How come he didn't see it sooner? It's not like there was a magical moment in the book where he realized she was the one for him. It just felt like he was a little pervy to me. I read Something Blue a day later and I have to say I LOVED that book but *SPOILER* I hated that Dex and Rachel got *ahem* (not going to say just in case someone stupidly reads this) on the same day Darcy had her babies. I found that annoying. I also thought that in the end Darcy got the better man. A man who doesn't cheat and is honest and loving and who fell for her when she was pregnant with another man's baby. That part still gets to me. Weirdly, I can't see John playing that part, he's too goofy and doesn't blush nearly as much as I would like.

I have been waiting so long for this movie! I saw some of it being filmed out in East Hampton last summer and that seems like too long ago!I am not a fan of when they change to much from the book and seeing all the pics of John Krasinski (Ethan) I can tell they changed some things. I am guessing maybe he make the trip to NY to see Rachel rather than Rachel going out to London. It will be intresting to see how it all plays out.Anyone else notice Emily sitting on the bench in the one picture reading Something Blue?
