Buzz Lines: What's Your Favorite Quote From Scream?

With Halloween around the corner, I'm thinking about the quintessential horror movie of my formative years: Scream.

With Halloween around the corner, I'm thinking about the quintessential horror movie of my formative years: Scream. Not only did Wes Craven's ode to slasher flicks usher in a new generation of self-aware thrillers, it — and its multiple sequels — left us with some classic quotes. Check mine out below, and let me know what yours are!

  • "Movies don't create psychos. Movies make psychos more creative!" — Billy
  • "Do you like scary movies?" — Ghostface
  • "I'm feelin' a little woozy here." — Stu

When Scream 4 opens today, we get to revisit several of the first film's characters. But before you see the modern Woodsboro, take a trip down memory lane with the original film and its trailer below. Even though Scream is now one of my favorite movies and I know everything that happens, the preview still gives me the chills, especially when I think of how freaked out teenage me was when I'd catch it on TV. It's a Scream: 5 Funniest Scary Movies

Ever notice how easy it is to laugh when you're scared?
List of 5 Funny and Scary Movies

Ever notice how easy it is to laugh when you're scared? Breaking the tension in a freaky film can make you laugh the hardest, and some of my favorite scary movies are those that tread the comedy genre. Zombieland, opening this Friday, looks like it's going to be as hilarious as it is creepy, and Transylmania, due this Winter, satirizes the horror genre. I tend to watch a lot of scary movies behind my hands, but if there's a good plot and, even better, great jokes, I'm into it. Check out some of my favorites that make you both shudder and giggle.

Scream IV Is On — Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox, David Arquette to Star

Scream it from the rooftops: Scream IV is happening, and original stars Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox, and David Arquette are attached to reprise their roles.

Scream it from the rooftops: Scream IV is happening, and original stars Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox, and David Arquette are attached to reprise their roles.

Scheduled to start shooting next Spring, the new movie will be the first in a new trilogy (a little Star Wars-style prequel perhaps?), and Bob Weinstein is trying to get Wes Craven to direct again. Honestly, I wouldn't be as excited about this announcement if Neve Campbell weren't starring; and sure, I'm also excited to see Ms. Cougar Town Courteney Cox and her husband back on the screen together. Though I'm usually not a horror lover, I make an exception for the Scream movies, which get their cleverness from scribe Kevin Williamson, who like Cox is also working on one of Fall's hottest new shows.

More of you guys voted to kill the franchise when news of a fourth Scream was announced months ago, but does Neve Campbell being involved change your mind at all?

Street Food Explodes Onto the Scene at the Ferry Plaza Farmers Market

Ferry Plaza Opens New Lunchtime Street Food Market

I'm completely serious when I tell people that the Ferry Plaza farmers market is a major reason why I live in San Francisco — it would not be an overstatement to say that the first time I went there, it changed my view of eating. So I could barely contain my excitement when the market's organizer, the Center For Urban Education and Sustainable Agriculture, or CUESA, announced it would be instituting a Thursday farmers market with an emphasis on artisanal street food. I took a trip over during my lunch break to see what the hype was all about. Learn more about the street food market — only in its second week of existence! — when you read on.

Continue or Kill: Scream Movies

These days if the Hollywood bigwigs aren't remaking something, they're tacking on more sequels to an existing franchise.

These days if the Hollywood bigwigs aren't remaking something, they're tacking on more sequels to an existing franchise. Franchises are getting reboots and TV shows are being brought back to life with all new casts. Sometimes it can be a good thing (Star Trek) but certain ideas probably should have been killed (cough! 90210 cough!).

So instead of lamenting remake or reboot ideas right off the bat, I thought I'd put it to a vote. The latest idea is to create a whole new Scream trilogy starting this Fall — even with Courteney Cox Arquette and David Arquette reprising their roles.

Is continuing the Scream movies a good idea? Or do you wish someone would kill it?

Sugardaddy: Dave Grohl Rocks My World

Rock stars often have inexplicable sex appeal.

Rock stars often have inexplicable sex appeal. Maybe it's they way they jam on the guitar or toss their tousled hair from side to side, but for me Dave Grohl's appeal is directly linked to the father factor — how adorable he is with his 21–month–old daughter, Violet Maye.

Quite the family man, he and wife Jordyn Blum, are often seen hanging out at the park and farmer's market with their wee one.

The rocker, who just turned 39 this week, doesn't show his age a bit. This is surprising since the hard worker has been a musician and songwriter for more than half of his life.
