Ryan Gosling in Negotiations to Star in George Clooney-Produced Farragut North

Ryan Gosling Heads North For Clooney

George Clooney is nothing if not a man of great taste: the actor, who is directing the Broadway-to-film adaptation Farragut North, has chosen Ryan Gosling to star in the political drama. Gosling is in negotiations for the lead role as a young communications director whose idealism is challenged while working for a presidential candidate during campaign season.

This long-germinating project once had Leonardo DiCaprio attached to the same part, but I think the multitalented Gosling will be able to slip into the shoes of a conflicted youthful politico with relative ease. And I must say, to Clooney: thank you. You've made a wonderful choice.
