I don't understand why everyone likes to imagine recasting to good, perfectly fine films. Unless it's just for fun? That said, I'll put two of my favorite actors in it for kicks -- Christian Bale as Edward and Lucy Lawless as Vivian. It'll be interesting to see them together seeing as both are non Americans show their skill in acting.

Vivian -- Anne Hathaway. She has that endearing quality and at the same time she can be bold and sensual Edward -- Ben Affleck. He's got that ruthless charm that Gere's character had. He could make a great Edward, without much effort Kit -- Mila Kunis. Make her accent a tad heavier, she'd make the ideal comedy-relief Kit DeLuca. Philip -- Paul Giamatti. best friend to sinister douche in 3.5 seconds. Bernard -- Steve Carell could make a great cameo appearance here
