Diablo Cody's next movie project after her award-winning Juno is Jennifer's Body, a "horror-comedy" starring Megan Fox as a hot demon girl with a thirst for murdering boys. The trailer will appear before screenings of Bruno this weekend, but the filmmakers were reportedly not too psyched about the theatrical trailer and have put a red-band trailer online for all to ogle.
In some ways, it's cool that this is a female-led horror movie, but then again, I have to wonder how much of a female audience this will attract. It's a horror movie centered around a young hot chick — and basically centered around the fact that she's hot (so she can more easily prey upon unsuspecting smitten boys). It is cute to see Adam Brody and Amanda Seyfried, but I am starting to feel a bit of Megan Fox fatigue these days. And aside from a line or two here or there, I don't see too much comedy in this "horror-comedy" but maybe the movie will offer up more gems when it opens Sept. 18. 4I don't have showtime, so I've never seen True Blood. But I'm kind of digging this. It puts Megan fox to good use and I've always known cheerleaders are nothing more than pure evil.
If it is half as good as Drag Me to Hell, then it should be damn fun.

But it seems a lot like Teeth, the indie movie two years about the girl with vagina dentata...which was pretty damn funny until the end.

18Sucks that they couldn't come up with an original movie poster - what a rip-off of True Blood! I can't stand Megan Fox or Diablo Cody, but I love Amanda Seyfried and B-list horror movies, so I guess I'll be netflixing this one when it comes out. My favorite ridiculous horror movie of all time is Sleepaway Camp, though Teeth was pretty fun, too , leslie!
19This poster actually came out around the same time as True Blood, so this "who copied who" argument is a few months old. Also, I'm kind of loving this for some reason, it might just be must-see.
20I agree that Diablo Cody is overrated (I've been saying this since Juno). I also don't like Megan Fox and I'm feeling the fatigue too Buzz. I do like Amanda Seyfried but haven't checked out the trailer and probably won't see it at the theater.
21Very interesting. I did first look at this because I thought it was a True Blood post. But sure I'd see this, it looks funny. I love the young girl from Big Love, her name escapes me right now..but I'm glad to see her getting work. Nice culty looking promo.

39Totally agree with the "Megan Fox Fatigue" Syndrome. Plus, it seems she is dumber than a box of rocks. Yes, she is physically attractive, but man... the dislike is based solely on her attitude and words, not her appearance. I'm not jealous of anyone that stupid and/or self-centered. Thanks.

The only thing I didn't like was the weird references/nicknames they had! Which is why I disliked Juno!

42Niqua is right. The two posters came out within a week of each other, and Jennifer's Body was first, in fact, Jennifer's Body has been talked about for the past 2 years. She's also correct that both True Blood and Jennifer's Body are referencing a photograph of Angelina Jolie by Martin Schoeller taken for Entertainment Weekly July 18, 2003. If anyone got ripped off, it was Martin Schoeller, and Jennifer's Body came out with a new poster anyway - so everyone, get over it!
