The Results Are In: Recast Murphy Brown
Every other Wednesday on BuzzSugar, I post a Recast challenge, where I ask you to choose new actors for a classic TV show or movie. The reader who submits the best cast wins a BuzzSugar t-shirt!
Thanks to everyone who posted ideas for the Murphy Brown recast challenge; there were so many good ones this week, it was hard to pick just one. For example, RCLdesigngirl's suggestion of Elizabeth Perkins as Murphy Brown is totally right on, as I think Perkins possesses the necessary gravitas to play the newswoman. I also thought krock19's idea to have Queen Latifah play Murphy was cool.
A lot of your ideas for the supporting cast members were great, too, including fattiecat07's suggestion that Kelsey Grammer play the stodgy Jim Dial. And I love megnmac's idea for T.R. Knight to play Miles Silverberg.
See what I mean? Tough decision, but I could only choose one and nomareader's Murphy Brown was so awesome I had to go with hers. Congrats nomareader!
