Maybe it's because Glee set the bar so high last week, or maybe it's the lack of Sue, but this week's episode just didn't do it for me. There are plenty of catchy tunes, but Rachel's all-of-a-sudden crush on Mr. Schue seems a bit forced, and it seems ridiculous that Will and Emma are best buddies again with no mention of their dramatic encounters from a few weeks ago.

It does have some touching moments (along with some sad ones) for Finn and Quinn, so to get into it just read more.
- Mr Schue has the glee kids draw names out of a hat and assigns each pair a ballad to help them profess their feelings. He shoots himself in the foot when he throws his own name into the ring and Rachel draws it. One spot-on duet of "Endless Love" later, Rachel's found herself a brand new crush to distract her from her feelings for Finn. I liked this plot line, but something about it felt a bit too forced, like the writers just squeezed it in to have Mr. Schue sing his mash-up. I did kind of love when Terri has Rachel clean the bathroom, though, and when Emma and Rachel are equally goo-goo eyed over Mr. Schue's mini-performance. Speaking of Emma, aren't she and Will supposed to be trying to stay away from each other?
Watch Rachel and Mr. Schue gaze into each other's eyes here:
- Quinn and Finn's situation comes to a head this week, and both end up breaking the news to their parents. Well, actually, Finn breaks the news to Quinn's parents via a dinner table performance of Paul Anka's "(You're) Having My Baby." While Quinn's parents are heartbreakingly unsupportive, Finn's mom takes the kids in when Quinn has nowhere else to go. The rest of the gleeks profess their own love for the couple with a rendition of "Lean on Me" which is super cheesy, but necessary after the harsh scene with Quinn's parents.
- Puck finally breaks down and admits to Mercedes that he's the father of Quinn's baby. Mercedes doesn't even ask questions — just tells Puck that he's already done enough and to back off. Though Puck is staying away for now, it seems like the cat's out of the bag. Plus, did you catch the smirk he makes at Quinn at the end of the episode?

I missed Sue this week but I loved the episode.
1It did get a little too emotional with Quinn getting kicked out of her house and all but overall I liked it.
I am amazed at how they continue to bring the songs we love to a whole new level- every week its something new and fresh!
Agreed, this wasn't my favorite episode. First of all, a Sue-less episode is NO GOOD. Secondly, I wasn't impressed with any of the music this time around (and I decided that I really don't like Finn's singing).
But I did shed a tear when Finn cried to his mom. She was very sweet. And my favorite line of the night was when Finn was on the phone with Kurt in the Fabray's bathroom and he said "I have to go, they'll think I'm pooping."
2I agree with Whiplash. I missed Sue and they songs was pretty boring
3Whiplash i thought that line was hilarious too
4I definitely thought the whole school girl crush thing was too contrived. I did like Mr. Schue's mash-up, though.
5This episode was horrible.
Omg the girl playing Quinn made me physically cringe her acting is so bad, and that high pitched "emotional" voice is like nails on a chalk board. How did she get hired? She can't sing or act?! Prettu blonds must be a dime a dozen in hollywood, did they have to go with her?
And the Rachel/Shu thing was lame. Agree with Kimmie...felt very forced just so he can sing that song.
And how come they haven't told us anything about Ken and Emma?
6Oh and Mercedes was out of line. I hate when two people sleep together, if the girl gets pregnant, everyone says "look what he did to you" ...umm unless it was rape, you did as much as he did.
You choose the daddy when you conceive with him, you can't just replace him against his will after the fact with some poor dope who doesn't know any better.
7I have to agree with zeze. I was so excited when I saw the preview of Puck saying that Finn wasn't the father- I thought for sure it was going to get out- but was disappointed with Mercede's response to him.
8I guess now I have to just hope it comes out with a mohawk!
I didn't mind the episode. I liked that there was more singing, but I would have preferred a few more fun songs, it was getting pretty sappy.
I totally forgot about Kurt's crush on Finn and I thought their interactions were sweet.
9I was disappointed in Mercedes response too. What he doesn't even get a chance to step in and prove he can be a father?
10The Sonogram scene is a little weird...It was better when he was on stage, but then in the bedroom, it seemed kind of strange...but the obvious lip-syncing of this show and the stark contrast between their speaking voices and studio voices has always bothered me, and that might have been what it was; however, a teenage guy passionately reacting to the images on a computer screen in his bedroom?
11I don't like when Mr Shue sings period. Less of him (or Justin Timberlame) as I like to call him, and more of the kids!
More Mercedes; and can we develop the other two cheerleaders a bit more?!
Quinn has the prettiest eyes!
There were parts that were hilarious and parts that were most definitely cringeworthy. I thought Suzy Pepper was hilarious and Mr. Shue's wife getting on the phone with her and saying to stop calling because if she doesn't get enough sleep her antidepressants won't work.
12love finn, dislike quinn although i would like her more if she admitted puck was the daddy. Don't use finn's stupidity against him, its too cute. Episode was pretty boring, all the song where boring, crush was weird, but loved the part at the end where finn covers his eyes and asks if there is cake. lol. Despite that is is a weak episode it is still better then most shows on tv.
13Not my fave, but I liked the episode despite no Sue. It did feel a bit forced that Rachel would crush that quickly just from singing the cheesetastic (but well sung) "Endless Love", but she is supposed to be pretty desperate for attention. I was bit miffed that there wasn't more depth to Mercedes' reaction to Puck'admission. It felt too quickly made when I felt that it would've been more believable to have her be shocked and then ask : "What are you talking about, Why does Finn think he is the father, etc" I did enjoy the interaction between Finn/Kurt and the closing number a lot.
14I liked it but honestly they need to get the whole terri pregnancy story DONE. It's so ridiculous. Shue hasn't touched his wife or had sex with her this whole time? Also, Quinn should be showing a bit now.
15I just want to say that Quinn was raped, so it wasn't her choice to become pregnant. She was drunk so it wasn't consensual.
16The fact that Puck is a rapist means that I feel he shouldn't really be portrayed as a sympathetic character... he's obviously not a good person.
What the hell???? Seriously??
17Quinn was not raped she was just trying to put all the blame on puck. it was a cop out to say she was drunk. She is not an innocent lamb in this situation.
Mercedes was completely out of line and her "advice" was bull. this Ep just reinforces why i dislike Mercedes
I love Britney's male duck comment and "I bet the duck is in the hat" hee
this episode was cheesy but good
18There were some great moments in this episode, but it definitely wasn't my favorite. I loved Finn's rendition of "I'll Stand By You," although it was a little cheesy when he sang to the sonogram. I did shed some tears after he told his mom about Quinn's pregnancy, though. Cory Monteith (Finn) is really good at fake crying FYI, because he's managed to make me break down twice this season. Dianna Agron, who plays Quinn, is not a great actress in my opinion. Her singing voice just seems flat and her acting is a bit forced. I felt sad when Quinn was kicked out of the house, but I don't think it was as emotional as it could have been.
I LOVED Mr. Schuester's mash-up to "Don't Stand So Close to Me/Young Girl." Haha when I was watching it, I was staring at him all googly-eyed like Emma and Rachel. I'm not ashamed to admit that I have had a crush on a few teachers in my life, although i certainly wasn't as forward as Rachel Berry or Suzy Pepper.
19i liked this episode!! last week's episode was easily the best of the season, so anything is going to seem like a let down.
my favorite part was the "i gotta go or they'll think i'm pooping" line. genius.
20OnlyInDreams, I totally agree with you on all of your points. I hate when one person in a relationship places the blame on the other when the girl gets pregnant. Unless it's rape or someone was screwing around with birth control (popping holes in condoms, switching birth control pills for sugar pills), YOU ARE EQUALLY AT FAULT. Quinn is just trying to place the blame on someone else for losing her virginity to her boyfriend's best friend and being impregnated by him. I honestly feel bad for Finn. He didn't even have sex with her, technically, and he's taking all of the responsibility. I wonder what the dynamics in Glee Club are gonna be like when this comes out.
I don't like Mercedes either. She just seems really judgmental, and I wish she could be more than a walking stereotype. I just wish they would flesh out her character a bit more.
Oh, and I love Brittney's comments this week! I want to see a lot more of Santana, Brittany, and the other two male singers in Glee.
21What I don’t get is way some people seem to give Quinn so much leeway but not Puck. I understand that Quinn is just a scared teen with crappy parents but what she is do to Finn and Puck is just wrong. Before she was out as pregnant she was just as big a bully as Puck. She openly admitted to Rachel that is the situation was reversed she would have tortured her. I just don’t feel for Quinn at lest Puck is trying to show some growth and wants to man up.
22Raped? Seriously? LOL
And what about drunk driving that leads to homicide, I bet you'll call that duress?
You make the decision to drink, the illegal decision when you are under 21 and it's not like she was totally passed out!
If Puck had ran for the hills and told her to get lost and he would never admit the baby was his because she was nothing more than an easy lay people will destroy him for it, but wanting to be a part of his own kid's life is bad...I can't understand how it is possible to see this in any other way.
23I'm glad to see I wasn't the only one who thought Mercedes was wrong. Nothing gives Quinn the right to decide to call someone else the father and shut the real father out completely. I really got the feeling that the writer was putting his opinions in Mercedes' mouth and that everyone else was just supposed to agree with her.
24At least one pregnancy plotline is done....unfortunately, it's not the one that I was hoping for (GET LOST TERRI, no one cares about your abandonment issues and your sister from hell). I also don't get the sudden crush on Mr. Schue.....why NOW? If he's my teacher, I will be the first one to have a crush on him....goodlooking, talented, and nice.....
However, I do love the Quinn and Finn's dinner scene. It was one of their more intense moments, and I feel really sorry for Finn when he cries. I think people should lay off the hate on Cory though. If you've read his interviews, he even said he's not a good dancer nor singer. I think it's refreshing to see someone who can sing, but not a pro, it seems more realistic to the character (jock-turned-glee vocalist). As Kurt said it best "I don't know why his stupidity is so endearing". The best male singer on the show is probably Mr. Schue, follow by Artie, and maybe Puck.....
I have the same thoughts on Mercedes, her character needs to develop. I agree Quinn shouldn't force the pregnancy to Finn (when Puck is soooo sweet to her), but as Mercedes have said, she is the one who decide to choose who the daddy is (her free will)......BUT of course that shouldn't condone the lying and b*tchy-ness.
25audreystar - That line by Terri Schuester was my favorite too..."If I don't get enough sleep, my antidepressants won't work and I'll kill you!" Haha I know a lot of people hate Terri and I don't like the way that she treats Will, but I think she is hilarious!
LaurenG22 - They had sex in the beginning of her "pregnancy," after she found out that she wasn't actually pregnant and she tried to have sex with Will as much as possible she would get knocked up for real. But I guess they haven't have had sex since she started "showing," which IS really ridiculous and completely unrealistic.
26i too liked the episode a lot - i LOVE finn
the pooping line was HILARIOUS! does
anyone else want to see/hear more about the other asian? lol
27I found it interesting how they are profiling Glen Beck viewers as jerks who would throw their child out on the street if they ended up pregnant. Some where near the beginning of the show the Dad is laughing and clearly says "Glen Beck is on." Her father was so cold and he gave no reasons for doing what he did. He went from proud loving father to just evil. Is that realistic? Are there any Glen Beck viewers out there that agree with that? Is that what you would really do? Really? I think the commentary there is a little harsh and unrealistic.
28Also, her saying "Your mad at me for being a woman instead of a child." kind of erked me. So a responsible adult woman gets pregnant as a teen and hides it from everyone? Sounds like more of what a child would do instead of responsible adult. Too bad her parents are acting childish and not taking responsibility for her. I'm still having a hard time swallowing her parents actions. I don't think that I would do that, and I think Glen Beck is pretty thorough.
