Do You Agree With This Week's Project Runway Winner and Loser?

Season seven of Project Runway is moving right along, and this week's challenge took the designers to the Met to be inspired by the couture within. There was a surprise challenge added to the team assignment — an extra look for less — but it didn't seem to trip anyone up (anyone who wasn't already tripped up, that is).

I liked a few of the top designs but agreed with the judges (including adorable British designer Matthew Williamson) on who they ended up sending home. Did you?

ping should've been auf'ed the moment her model's derriere had to be blurred out. and mila's coat was nice, but i don't think she should have won. she was a terrible team leader, and she made her partner do everything that wasn't the coat. so unfair.also, my gripe with her outfit isn't that it's too unique, because really, i see those pants at every gym i go to. they're called "track pants."

The winning look was so ugly, who would want to wear that? The bottoms looked like something I'd wear to workout and the top was just ugly. I loved Maya's look (i forgot her partner) the "look for less" was amazing I would totally wear it and pay more than $46, and the couture look was like art! So classic, yet modern and artistic without being too weird.The loser I agreed with, it annoyed me beyond words that someone a lot more talented went home last week while Ping had the model's butt on display in an UGLYYYY weird potato sack and got to stay. The judges even had good things to say about the losing look, such as the sewing and the dying...yet Ping stayed?! So I'm happy she is gone!

I don't get why people complain so much about the show being on Lifetime. :shrug: It's still made by the same production company. And mine is in HD; maybe only some cable/satellite companies offer it? :puzzled:

I'm glad Ping went home. I get that she is trying to do something different, but Project Runway has always had winners that are marketable. I don't think they should have strung her along for three episodes. I like Mila's outfit, but not with those white racing stripes. I did like the cut of the coat. I can see how you could tailor it down to make it more sellable. I really hate that the show is on Lifetime. I mean that station really isn't known for being fashionable. They're programming is geared towards middle aged women, not the young women who are interested in the latest trends. Not to mention the show isn't in HD and it looks like awful. It seems like not only is it not in HD, they're using cheap film. Everything is fuzzy and I have a very nice TV.

Mila's work was impeccable, no doubt and yes i can see it as high fashion which was the challenge. However, i couldn't help of thinking about the book Blubber in which the fried egg costume wins (inner yellow yolk) and the girl fails to see the originality in that.

I agree that it was high fashion and I don't think anyone has said otherwise. But I still dislike it. I also wouldn't wear Maya's look every day, but I liked it a lot more and I thought Maya and Jay's second look was better.

I agree with the decisions. Ping definitely needed to go. As for Mila, her look was very high fashion--no it wasn't something that would be worn every day, but as someone in the fashion industry I could totally see that on the runways. Her look was very high fashion and very iconic which was the point of the challenge.
