Playlist: Goodbye, September

I'm a huge fan of the Autumn months, so I'm excited that it's almost October. Still, September is one of my favorite months, as it always seems to signify — even now, years after school has been over for me — new beginnings and new possibilities. I like that there's a chill in the air, but it's not so sharp that you need the big puffy coat. It's almost holiday season, but it's not yet time to enter into the stressful frenzy of shopping and preparing. So, to mark the ending of this first Fall month, I've put together a little September playlist. To enjoy, read more.

I know there are two versions of "September Song" here, but that song has been covered by pretty much everyone, and I could only narrow down my favorites to these two!

Yay Buzz! September and October are hands-down my favorite months as well. I love the excuse to drink lattes, go for walks, and break out the glittery makeup:) I would definitely add Fiona Apple's classic song "Pale September" to this playlist. I love the opening line "I wore that time like a dress that year..."

I looove Autumn. I used to think it was boring, but I love it now.The seasons change in Northern California! I don't know about SoCal, but it does start feeling like Autumn in October. The leaves fall, the weather gets a little colder, etc. It's beautiful. Right now its still a little too hot in the Bay Area though to feel like Fall, but I'm sure it will get colder soon.

Autumn is the best weather! Never too hot or too cold in the day, the clouds start forming and giving a beautiful overcast atmosphere to the city and taking away the pollution in the air, cold nights making time to shop for new scarves, sweaters, coats and gloves, cold mornings urging you to hit the snooze for nine more minutes of your blanket's embrace, and the warm palette of the fall foliage!

Awwww, you made me all sentimental!!! I grew up in New Jersey and now I'm living in LA - I miss fall so much!! I missed it for the first time last year, when I moved out here, and now this year too.... the crisp air, the crunchy leaves, the warm colors of changing foliage, digging my sweaters out of the attic, apple cider and ginger snaps..... sigh... I can't wait til my fiance and I move to PA! I want my seasons back!
