Who Looks Sexier in the Spider-Man Suit: Andrew Garfield or Tobey Maguire?

Earlier today we got our first peek at Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker in the Spider-Man reboot, and it was only a matter of time before we compared Spider-Man 2.0 to Tobey Maguire's version. We won't know more about how well Garfield works as Peter Parker until 2012 (though hopefully the trailer will drop before that), but we can still judge purely on aesthetics. Garfield is definitely scrawnier than Maguire, though his suit is a bit grittier looking than the version we've grown used to. Who gets your vote for sexier Spider-Man?

Garfield looks like some stick-thin emo teenager wearing a Spiderman suit that was designed by Hot Topic. Actually that fits the bill for a reboot done with a teenager in 2012. Toby fills the role perfectly with a non over the top costume, and boyish cute nerdy looks. Not looking forward to the new Spidey and his glorified codpiece.

haha, Anonymous; so true! definitely Garfield; he is so sexy and cute and the accent doesn't hurt (even though he won't be using it in the movie). however, I'm still anoyed that they're rebooting what was a perfectly good franchise - I loved the Sam Raimi Spidermans; the first two were so well-written and perfectly made, including the casting of Tobey Maguire...

I never liked Tobey Maguire and I can't even begin to imagine him being sexy. So, yes, my vote definitely goes to Andrew :)))

toby miquire looks sexier if you ask me, alothough he might look alittle geeky, thats okay i like guys who are geeke, and he was SUPER in the spiderman movie, so i vote for Toby

Spider Man can't be sexy to me, regardless of the actor playing him. He always seems too much of a school boy to be sexy. It feels like it should be illegal to even use "sexy" and "Peter Parker" in the same sentence.

I've never thought of spiderman as a sexy superhero, he seemed like a geek, maybe even a bit gay (like the unflamboyant gay best-friend). But of the 2, Garfield, TM is never hot under any circumstances.
