Parks and Recreation: Love It or Leave It?

Parks and Recreation had one of the more interesting roads to television of any show this year, starting off as a hypothetical spinoff of The Office and ending up as the small-town political mockumentary that premiered on NBC on Thursday. So now I'm wondering: Are you sticking with Parks and Recreation? Or are you already tuned out?

I was very curious to see this show, since I love The Office, I love Amy Poehler, and I love Rashida Jones. I found it had some very funny jokes but for the most part it was very boring. I like Amy's character, but she is already annoying me in the first episode. I understand that they are trying to get in on the success of The Office, but the answer to that is not copying it exactly. I think they need to make Amy's character more respectable and not so pathetic, and they need to remember that while The Office may be set in a seemingly boring scenario, it keeps the jokes fresh and the drama smart. I willing to give it a chance, but they need to step it up...

i havnt decided how i feel about it yet. I think i need to see a few more episodes. However, the first season of the office was very slow also.

I think it def has potential.... I was happy to see that Leslie Knope wasn't a Michael Scott carbon-copy. They were certainly similar, but Leslie seems to be going in a different direction...hopefully.

i couldn't even get throught it all, turned it off after 7min. awful. but i did the same with office and you guys all love it...

I really did not like it. I felt like it was trying way too hard to be like The Office, which I love, but without success. I don't know, I probably won't watch next week.

its too much like the office for me. i love the office so i hoped i would love this too. amy was adorable and funny, but i just saw a dwight/michael character. and when her character was drunk and the guy was listing the pranks he made her do, it was jim. i will continue to watch though.

I haven't watched the entire episode yet, I thought there were some funny parts. I do wish they would maybe change up the style in which it is filmed or the way the characters deliver their lines to the camera because it does seem a little too office like at times.
