Pachelbel's Canon: The Origin of All Music?

I usually avoid YouTube videos featuring comedians I've never heard of, but I'm making an exception in this case, because this one is damn near brilliant. We've all heard Pachelbel's Canon in D ad nauseum at various weddings and on movie soundtracks, but until now, I didn't realize how pervasive it was. After watching this Pachelbel-based performance by musical comedian Rob Paravonian, I'm starting to wonder if the Canon isn't the basis of all things musical.
