Oz the Great and Powerful and Wizard of Oz Pictures

In 1939, 49-year-old actor Frank Morgan played the terrifying but ultimately kind Wizard of Oz, who reveals himself to be a man who'd gotten lost there years before via hot air balloon. In this year's Oz the Great and Powerful, 34-year-old James Franco plays the same role, and he's named Oscar . . . but goes by "Oz."
