The Outside Lands Music Festival was this past weekend in San Francisco, and a ton of performers hit the city to play amazing live sets amid an even more amazing backdrop: the tree-filled Golden Gate Park. We were there to catch some shows, but in case you missed it (or just want to relive it), we've gathered some of the most incredible shots of the festival and acts big and small, like Beck, Stevie Wonder, Jack White, and Metallica.
Spotted at Outside Lands: 10 of Our Favorite Music Fest-Style Snaps
San Francisco's Outside Lands festival has come and gone, and in its stead, we're left with a three-day mashup of concert-going looks. Unlike Coachella's beat-the-heat style mantra, this weekend's fest served up a cool plate of slightly grungier Woodstock-inspired ensembles, all with an overcast weather twist. Perhaps, this is exactly what we needed, though, as we head into Fall — a real reason to mix and match summery pieces with heavier layers and sturdier footwear. Look to the oversized cardigans, tie-front denim blouses, crop top domination, and ankle boots as a sure indication that even the most music festival-ready outfits have a place in our autumnal wares lineup. Take a look at our 10 favorite Outside Lands style snapshots inside.
Look Your Outside Lands Best — 14 Must-Pack Music Festival Finds
The trickiest thing about packing — and dressing — like an Outside Lands pro is taking into account the unpredictable nature of San Francisco's temperamental climes. Although this weekend's festival forecast calls for mild and sunny weather, you can never be too prepared for the early evening fog, overcast skies above Golden Gate Park, and blustery offshore breezes. Thus, we've compiled a foolproof list of concert-ready pieces for your perusal, ranging from a cashmere poncho and a lightweight military-inspired anorak to go-with-everything jeans, vintage soft tees, and one silky floral shiftdress. Plan on wearing cozier layers and form-flattering denim in place of your more polished wares — chances are, you'll be on your feet much of the day, so functionality will certainly play a huge role in this styling equation. It's also worth noting that these transitional items will have a longer lease on closet space. Think of these picks as not only worthy Outside Lands purchases, but solid Fall investments too. Here are the 14 must haves to pack, shop, and live in this weekend and through the autumnal months.
Outside Lands 2011 in Pictures
This past weekend was the fourth annual Outside Lands Music and Arts Festival, and we made it out to Golden Gate Park in San Francisco to see acts like Phish, the Black Keys, Girl Talk, and Arcade Fire. The three-day concert brought out tons of other musicians as well, and even if you didn't make it to SF to check it out, we've compiled 20 of some of the coolest pics from the fest for your viewing pleasure.

2009 Outside Lands: A Beautiful Weekend
The first two days of this year's Outside Lands festival here in San Francisco were absolutely beautiful — almost (almost!) too warm. This rarely happens here in the chilly city by the Bay, so it felt like a nice surprise gift. By Sunday, the city was back to its cloudy self, but that didn't dampen the spirits of concertgoers. Overall, the festival was great — laid-back but still fun, and full of good vibes. Check out some photos of my favorite acts from the weekend.
