Jennifer Morrison Talks About the Fairy Tale She Wants on Once Upon a Time and Emma's New Love Interest

Jennifer Morrison plays Emma on Once Upon a Time, the show's reluctant heroine who has been chosen to break the curse of a town full of fairy-tale characters. I chatted with Morrison about the series, and I had to know how she felt about Graham's shocking death and whether we'll ever see him again. We also discussed the upcoming tales we'll get to see on the show, including the story Morrison would love to see play out. Read my interview below, and if you want to catch up with the show, you can watch episodes online here.

BuzzSugar: We were really upset when Graham died; were you sad when you found out it was going to happen?
Jennifer Morrison: Well, we knew what was coming in the story line since the beginning of the season. But all of us were upset because we love Jamie Dornan, and I thought he was just absolutely fabulous in the show. We all were very close, you know? So it felt like a huge loss, not just on the show, but just personally. We were all really close friends, and we still feel that loss. It feels weird with him not being in Vancouver with us.

Buzz: Is there any way that Dornan might return?
JM: The thing is, just because he died in reality doesn't mean that he can't return as the huntsman, because those are flashbacks. So, depending on the structure of the show, and the story we decide to tell, as far as I understand, there's room for him to exist still in fairy-tale land.

Buzz: With him gone, is Emma getting another love interest?
JM: Well, this last episode that aired, there's a stranger that comes to town, played by Eion Bailey, who is in that very last scene in that last episode that aired. I don't know for sure where they're cutting this at, but I know that there is a possibility that this stranger in town could somehow be connected to Emma at some point. Beyond that, I don't really know.

Tell Us Why You're Watching Once Upon a Time

ABC's Once Upon a Time was a late arrival to the Fall TV lineup, but it was one of our favorite pilots out of the gate — and I'm still hooked.

ABC's Once Upon a Time was a late arrival to the Fall TV lineup, but it was one of our favorite pilots out of the gate — and I'm still hooked. I love the juxtaposition of life in Storybrooke with the individual fairy-tale back stories. I was pleasantly surprised to see that meek Mary Margaret was once a kick-ass Snow White (not unlike the one we see in the Snow White and the Huntsman trailer), and I drooled over Cinderella's ball gown when she finally meets her prince. I'm also into the whimsy look of the show, and the villains are the kind of creepy characters that you can only find in a fantasy series (Rumpelstiltskin never fails to make my skin crawl). Now that you've heard my opinion, I want to hear from you all — tell me why you're still tuning into Once Upon a Time!

Once Upon a Time and Last Man Standing Get Full Seasons

It's a good season for new Fall TV shows, and ABC is showing the love to two series.

It's a good season for new Fall TV shows, and ABC is showing the love to two series. Once Upon a Time and Last Man Standing have earned full seasons. Fairy-tale drama Once Upon a Time has had a decent showing with just two episodes, and as a fan of the show, I'm happy we'll get to see where the story line is heading. As for comedy Last Man Standing, despite some mixed critical reviews, it's fair to say that Tim Allen still has sitcom staying power. Have you been tuning in to either of these new shows?

Fairy-Tale Inspiration From ABC's Once Upon a Time

Medieval and Romanesque architecture symbolizes majesty, royalty, and magic.

Medieval and Romanesque architecture symbolizes majesty, royalty, and magic. ABC's new series Once Upon a Time captures this grandiose style, featuring pointed arches, intricate stone carvings, and stained glass. And while the fairy-tale happy endings may be a bit fractured in this somewhat dark new series, the beautiful backdrops and set designs will inspire you to create your own happily ever after home. Take a peek at the truly incredible set design from the new series.

Kristin Bauer Talks About Playing a Frenemy to Once Upon a Time's Evil Queen

What do a pair of evil fairy-tale villainesses do when they get together to hang out?

What do a pair of evil fairy-tale villainesses do when they get together to hang out? This week's episode of Once Upon a Time has evil queen Regina (Lana Parrilla) reuniting with one of her oldest friends — or frenemies, as the case might be — Sleeping Beauty's evil sorceress Maleficent. Kristin Bauer will be stepping into the role, and I chatted with the actress about what happens when two power-hungry and vindictive gals get together, as well as how her True Blood character Pam influences everything from her roles to her marriage. Bauer also filled us in on the True Blood rumors she's most excited about!

BuzzSugar: Maleficent is the evil queen's oldest friend, but the pair have a troubled history. Can you tell us a little bit about their background?
Kristin Bauer: Lana is totally amazing and so helpful to me and such a master in this world on Once Upon a Time. We tried to find a way to show that this is a really long-standing chess match. You know, you've got these two power players, and they're chicks and they're vain and they play in this game of revenge and helping each other and then trading evilness to help each other and then there's a real shift we're gonna see on Sunday. It's a real fork in the road for the evil queen's character because we saw a big one in the pilot, where she wields the curse and sends everybody to reality, but they don't know they're in reality.

As for True Blood, we hear that we might get a window into Pam and Eric's origin story next season. What can you tell us about that?
KB: I have heard that as well, and I'm so excited about it and they tell us nothing. I cannot wait to see what that is. All I have is what I have been putting together in my mind for the last four years, which I'm sure once I see it on the screen it will be so much better.

Buzz: Do you have any thoughts on if Rutina Wesley is coming back? That is one of the biggest questions in my mind. What the heck happens there? I have so many questions in my mind because I heard a rumor online that Pam dug up Russell Edgington and I have no idea why she would do that, but I thought, I don't know why she'd do that, but how much fun if she did. I just can't wait to see what I'm responsible for. I have no idea on any of it. They're really smart, they just don't tell us.

Newest Obsession: ABC's Once Upon A Time

I have a love/hate relationship with television shows. I am either a devoted fan, obsessed with watching every episode on time or with the DVR, or I ignore the entire series. I cannot just jump mid-season into a television show due to hype. The last show I did this with was Lost and boy, was I lost. However, the creative team of writers from Lost are behind this fall's newest hit Once Upon a Time. I am a huge fan of Ginnifer Goodwin, my favorite sister wife from HBO's Big Love. I was so happy to see her continue on television despite her transition to comedies on the big screen.

Being a girl who still lives in a fairy-tale inspired world, I was so eager for this show to debut that I was scared that my high hopes would be crushed with a new series that could be canceled early (I am still upset about NBC's The Playboy Club being canceled. I thought it was great). However, by the end of the first hour, I was so sad to see it end. I ended my viewing of the show slightly confused, surprised at how great it truly was, and hopeful for a full series from ABC.

Do You Want to Keep Up With Once Upon a Time's Story?

We were invited into ABC's magical new drama Once Upon a Time last night and met Snow White (Ginnifer Goodwin), Prince Charming (Josh Dallas) and more in the premiere episode.

We were invited into ABC's magical new drama Once Upon a Time last night and met Snow White (Ginnifer Goodwin), Prince Charming (Josh Dallas) and more in the premiere episode. The plight of the fairy-tale characters is revealed — the wicked queen puts a spell on them and the others in fairyland to force them to live in the real world, unaware of their true identities, and Emma (Jennifer Morrison) is the key to setting them free. I'm already looking forward to next week to see the mystery unfold, as well as to see more of how the storybook characters behave in our world. But was the pilot enough to capture your imagination? If you watched the premiere or Once Upon a Time, tell us if you'll keep tuning into see what happens.
