Nicolas Cage is adding grumpy caveman to his résumé with his new animated film, The Croods.

Nicolas Cage is adding grumpy caveman to his résumé with his new animated film, The Croods. I chatted with Cage about his take on the "visual feast" of a movie, as well as the scene he thinks was lifted right out of his 1995 film Leaving Las Vegas. He also revealed the secrets of voice acting and which classic movie he'd like to see redone in 3D. Check it out!

Blake Lively Supports Ryan Reynolds and Emma Stone at the Croods Premiere

Blake Lively hit the red carpet this afternoon in NYC at the premiere of husband Ryan Reynolds's new movie, The Croods.

Blake Lively hit the red carpet this afternoon in NYC at the premiere of husband Ryan Reynolds's new movie, The Croods. Wearing a minidress from Marios Schwab, Blake kept her distance from Ryan in front of photographers. He did, however, cozy up to his costar Emma Stone and even Blake's sister Robyn.

Emma and Ryan also had the company of another Croods star, Nicolas Cage, who brought his wife, Alice Kim. Nicolas, Emma, and Ryan have been busy this week, talking about their animated picture, which is out Friday, March 22. Press duties took Emma and Ryan to London before they returned to the Big Apple, where Blake was conveniently based last week doing interviews of her own on behalf of Gucci.

Emma Stone Takes The Croods to Berlin With Nicolas Cage

Emma Stone donned a Gucci dress to hit the red carpet for the Berlin International Film Festival premiere of The Croods with her costar Nicolas Cage.

Emma Stone donned a Gucci dress to hit the red carpet for the Berlin International Film Festival premiere of The Croods with her costar Nicolas Cage. Emma and Nicholas also linked up earlier today to attend a photocall for their animated picture, and she showed off her style in the a.m. as well in an orange-and-beige dress from Stella McCartney. Emma and Nicolas's other leading man, Ryan Reynolds, wasn't able to make the trek to Europe. He's in his native Canada, keeping company with wife Blake Lively and shooting Queen of the Night with Rosario Dawson and Scott Speedman.

The Croods is the latest animated offering from DreamWorks and will be out in theaters March 22. It's possible it could be the first in a Croods series, a possibility both Emma and Nicolas discussed at a press conference this morning. Nicolas said, "Yes, I would like to see another adventure with The Croods."

The Croods Trailer: Emma Stone Gets Prehistoric

Emma Stone, Nicolas Cage, and Ryan Reynolds all lend their voices to The Croods, the newest animated adventure from DreamWorks.

Emma Stone, Nicolas Cage, and Ryan Reynolds all lend their voices to The Croods, the newest animated adventure from DreamWorks. Set in prehistoric times, the film tells the tale of Eep (Stone) and her family, headed by overprotective patriarch Grug (Cage). Family rules have always dictated that everyone stay in the cave at all times, but when Eep lets her curiosity get the best of her, she triggers an avalanche and her family discovers a colorful, magical world the likes of which the Croods have never seen.

The movie looks fun, and given how much I loved watching Cage play a protective dad in Kick-Ass, I'm really excited to see — or hear, rather — him in a similar role here. I do wish we could hear more of Ryan Reynolds in the trailer, though. The movie opens March 22, and you can watch the trailer after the jump.

Nicolas Cage Is Seriously on Fire in the Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance Trailer

The Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance trailer is really something you have to see to believe.

The Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance trailer is really something you have to see to believe. The sequel to the 2007 action flick has Nicolas Cage reprising his role as Johnny Blaze (aka Ghost Rider), and this time he's taking on the devil, played by Ciarán Hinds, in Eastern Europe. Idris Elba and Johnny Whitworth (Empire Records alert!) also star.

Like most action trailers, Ghost Rider gives you a lot of intensity from high-speed chases, explosions, and menacing villains, but this installment really goes one step further, with a flaming Cage riding his motorcycle like he did in the first film — but this time he's doing more, uh, everyday things while on fire, too. Even if you're not planning on seeing the film, slated for release in February 2012, it's worth it to see the trailer's jarringly silly final image. Watch when you read more
