Commencement by J. Courtney Sullivan

The Times hails J. Courtney Sullivan's debut, Commencement, (out this month) as "one of this year's most inviting summer novels" that "manages to be so entertaining [the] setup never feels schematic." This tale about college friends reuniting at a wedding is high on my list of books to read this Summer.

Jodi Picoult is my favorite author. I've read all her books. My Sisters Keeper has become a movie. It comes out really soon. She always has an issue to question ourselves within the plot. The issue in My Sister's Keeper deals with having a baby to provide stem cells, blood, kidneys, or whatever to save the life of an existing child.

Jennifer Weiner is an absolutely great author...she's in the chick-lit genre for sure but it's a little more punchy and her books are a little more deep than Sophie Kinsella and others (whom i also love)if you've never read one of Jennier Weiner's, but are interested in a light girlie read, check it out...but make sure to read Good in Bed before Certain Girls, and make sure you know that the Boy Not Taken is short stories, not a novel
