Music Video: Alicia Keys, "No One"

While Alicia Keys' music can sometimes be hit-or-miss with me, I think this song "No One" is fantastic. Her voice is big and powerful, passionate and strong. The video? Not so sure about it. She looks beautiful — I especially love her hair all big and full, like it was at the VMAs — and she certainly rocks that gold dress. But it seems like her top priority is gyrating and making passionate faces at the camera, with the piano-playing coming in as an afterthought. Frankly, I think it's kind of weird.

I love this song, the video not so much...I think that this song is written in a range just above Alicia's natural singing voice so that every note seems strained making this song sound so very passionate.

wow, some of this video was directed by Mariah it seems. but alicia rocks anyway and so does that nude lipgloss. she's fab whatever she does. not my fabourite song, but she is beautiful.

I love this song, she sounds like she's really singing as opposed to all of the digitized crap we get. And I agree, if I gyrate to the song, why shouldn't she??

OMG how can u say that this song is not wonderful and moving and touching and a classic alicia keys.. I LOVE IT i can't wait for her new album and I can't believe that people don't like this song... Its soo moving and she is the baddest chick and really knows how to work her stage, audience and she is all around beautiful and down to earth... Ok i'm thru i jus had to say i LOVE this song

exactly, hayworthgilda. i "gyrate" to that song and yes! it's hard not to, it has such a good, positive beat unlike other songs out right now.

frankly alicia keys can do no wrong in my book. this is one of my favorite songs playing in the radio right now. i also think that this song has that beat where it calls for her to "gyrate" like what she's doing in the video. i know i would be doing song. also i love that she hasn't comform herself to dressing and making music like beyonce or rhianna. she's still sticking to what she's been doing since she came to the music scene. i mean look at rhianna, she's only 19 and yet has to "sex-a-fy" her image so she can sell more records. i love that alicia keys has not use her body or publicity stunts to sell records. okay my ode to alicia keys is over. lol.
