Catching Fire Teaser: Katniss and Peeta Are Back!

Those who were watching the MTV Movie Awards got a special sneak peek of Jennifer Lawrence, Liam Hemsworth, and Josh Hutcherson in Catching Fire — and we have it right here, too!

Those who were watching the MTV Movie Awards got a special sneak peek of Jennifer Lawrence, Liam Hemsworth, and Josh Hutcherson in Catching Fire — and we have it right here, too! The clip shows some gruesome scenes from the book (like Gale's whipping) and hints at the impending revolution — along with a steamy kiss between Gale and Katniss. We even get a look at Philip Seymour Hoffman as Plutarch Heavensbee, but unfortunately there's no look at the tropical arena just yet.

The second Hunger Games movie isn't coming out until Nov. 22, so thank goodness we're getting a look at Katniss, Peeta, and the whole crew to tide us over until then. Did you miss it? No worries — we've got the teaser after the jump.

Romeo and Juliet Trailer: Hailee Steinfeld and Douglas Booth Are Star-Crossed Lovers (Ed Westwick Bonus!)

Because every generation apparently gets its shot at Shakespeare's ultimate love story, a brand-new Romeo and Juliet is headed to theaters, with Douglas Booth and Hailee Steinfeld as the titular young lovers.

Because every generation apparently gets its shot at Shakespeare's ultimate love story, a brand-new Romeo and Juliet is headed to theaters, with Douglas Booth and Hailee Steinfeld as the titular young lovers. If you don't know the story — first of all, where on earth did you go to school? — Romeo and Juliet fall deeply in love, but alas, their families, the squabbling Montagues and Capulets (which include Damian Lewis and Ed Westwick), are in the midst of a generations-long fight. Though they enlist the help of an understanding priest (Paul Giamatti), the lovebirds end up with a tragic fate.

Don't hate me for saying this about the most classic love story of all time, but this looks like a snooze-fest. We've seen this story before, and except for the addition of Westwick, this looks like the same-old same-old. Am I wrong? The movie doesn't yet have a US release date, but you can watch the trailer after the jump.

The Hangover Part III Trailer: 3 Things We Find Out

The first teaser for The Hangover Part III is awesome, but it left me with so many questions.

The first teaser for The Hangover Part III is awesome, but it left me with so many questions. Why is the Wolfpack stuck in yet another dangerous situation? Where is Stu's face tattoo? Why does Alan have a pet giraffe? Some of these get answered in the brand-new trailer, and we get a lot more information about the movie, opening May 24. Even if you've seen the teaser, here's why you might want to check out the full trailer.

  1. Alan gets an intervention. Apparently Alan (Zach Galifianakis) has been off his meds for six months, so the gang comes together to help Alan agree to go to rehab, and even Phil (Bradley Cooper) is supportive.
  2. We find out more of the plot. The Wolfpack gets hijacked in the desert on the way to rehab by a gangster (John Goodman) looking for Mr. Chow. He forces the boys to track him down, leading them to both Tijuana and Vegas.
  3. We know why Doug isn't there. Of course, Goodman's character decides Doug (Justin Bartha) is the best guy to kidnap as insurance. Why does it always have to be Doug?

Rush Trailer: Chris Hemsworth Lives Life in the Fast Lane

"The closer you are to death, the more alive you feel," proclaims Chris Hemsworth in the trailer for Rush.

"The closer you are to death, the more alive you feel," proclaims Chris Hemsworth in the trailer for Rush. He stars as James Hunt, the dashing English racer who ruled the high-speed European track in the 1970s. Ron Howard is behind the camera depicting Hunt's rivalry with Niki Lauda (Daniel Brühl), the Austrian driver whose run in the 1976 German Grand Prix resulted in a coma, while Hunt took the gold home. The story doesn't end there — Lauda recovers, his crash only sparking the competition between Hunt and himself. Olivia Wilde also stars as Hunt's wife.

Am I the only one with goosebumps? Howard is a reliably good director, and it appears he's giving the delicate story a tender and honest tone. I'm also impressed with Hemsworth, who we mostly know as Thor, and it's refreshing to see him out of the armor. The movie opens Sept. 20, and until then, watch the trailer after the jump.

Behind the Candelabra Trailer: Matt Damon Is Michael Douglas's Muse

Are you prepared for the perfect combination of elegance, garish sparkles, and feathered hair?

Are you prepared for the perfect combination of elegance, garish sparkles, and feathered hair? Then you're ready to experience the trailer for Behind the Candelabra, Steven Soderbergh's HBO film starring Michael Douglas as famously flamboyant pianist Liberace and Matt Damon as his longtime younger lover, Scott Thorson. Their relationship gets complicated when Liberace wants his muse to think of him as a "father, a brother, a lover, best friend," and recruits a similarly coiffed plastic surgeon (Rob Lowe) to make Scott's face resemble his own more closely.

I love that this trailer has all the glitz and glam of Las Vegas but also takes a heartbreaking turn once Scott snaps, craving his own identity. The movie premieres on HBO on May 26, but don't miss the trailer after the jump.

Carrie Trailer: Chloë Moretz Has Teenager Problems, and Also Telekinesis

Though we'd seen a brief glimpse of the blood-covered title character of Carrie a few months ago, today we get a full trailer for the remake of the 1970s horror classic.

Though we'd seen a brief glimpse of the blood-covered title character of Carrie a few months ago, today we get a full trailer for the remake of the 1970s horror classic. Chloë Moretz stars as the shy high schooler with telekinetic powers, while Julianne Moore plays her mother, a strictly religious woman who deals with Carrie's powers by locking her in a closet, screaming. When Carrie's cruel classmates play a prank on her at the prom, Carrie uses her skills to get her revenge on everyone.

The new Carrie looks like it's going to be every bit as chilling as the original, but with modern touches (all the kids now have cell phones to document their bullying of Carrie) and updated special effects. I'm happy to see the inclusion of famous scenes (the tampon-throwing torture) and lines ("They're all gonna laugh at you"), but I'm most struck by how terrifying Moore is — and she doesn't even have any special powers. Carrie comes out Oct. 18, and you can watch the trailer after the jump.

Another Great Gatsby Trailer: 3 New Things to Look For

Baz Luhrmann's The Great Gatsby comes out May 10, but we're already getting to see a lot of footage from the movie, including this latest trailer.

Baz Luhrmann's The Great Gatsby comes out May 10, but we're already getting to see a lot of footage from the movie, including this latest trailer. There are more reasons to watch this new preview besides Leonardo DiCaprio looking dashing as 1920s millionaire Jay Gatsby, though. Check 'em out:

  1. A new Beyoncé song: The trailer kicks off with a song from the soundtrack (which is probably going to be amazing, by the way): Beyoncé and André 3000's cover of Amy Winehouse's "Back to Black." It's still as moody as ever, but the brief snippet indicates that it's a unique rendition of the late singer's tune.
  2. More violence: This version of The Great Gatsby looks like it'll be far more violent than the 1974 adaptation starring Robert Redford. We have Jay almost wailing on Tom (Joel Edgerton), a car accident, and a character brandishing a gun. If you've read the book, you already know of the violent acts, and it looks like Luhrmann is going to play them up.
  3. Flashbacks: Characters Jay and Daisy (Carey Mulligan) were together when they were young, and this trailer shows us that Luhrmann is giving us flashbacks of their time together. Which means: Leo channeling young Leo in a military uniform.

See all this in the new trailer for The Great Gatsby after the jump.

Only God Forgives Trailer: Ryan Gosling Gets Really Violent

Those who enjoyed 2011's Drive may enjoy the red band trailer for Only God Forgives, the next collaboration from director Nicolas Winding Refn and star Ryan Gosling.

Those who enjoyed 2011's Drive may enjoy the red band trailer for Only God Forgives, the next collaboration from director Nicolas Winding Refn and star Ryan Gosling. The heartthrob plays Julien, a former kickboxer living in Bangkok. When his brother is murdered by a police lieutenant, Julien attempts vengeance on his family's behalf. If the trailer is any indication, then Julien is a man of few words, as the only thing he says is, "Wanna fight?" Words may be scarce — except for a few disturbing ones from Julien's mother, played by Kristin Scott Thomas — but the violence is cringe-worthy.

Drive has a unique combination of fantastic art direction and some brutal violence, and it looks like Only God Forgives could be headed in the same direction. That said, I'm a little worried that the latter will be even more gory than Drive, which is saying a lot. The film hits theaters May 23, but you can watch the trailer after the jump.

Grown Ups 2 Trailer: Taylor Lautner Makes Adam Sandler Streak

In Grown Ups, Adam Sandler and a group of his real-life friends (including David Spade, Chris Rock, and Kevin James), play a bunch of high school buds who reunite for a weekend, so you can probably guess what happens in the sequel — they're reuniting again! This time they've all gathered in their hometown, where apparently it's easy for a moose to just waltz into your bedroom and pee on you. Other things that happen in town? Frat guys (led by Taylor Lautner) can make you cliff dive naked.

The original Grown Ups wasn't exactly comedy genius, so suffice it to say this sequel feels pretty unnecessary. That said, I fully support Lautner trying his hand at comedy, and it's hard not to giggle when half the cast of SNL shows up dressed as male cheerleaders led by Andy Samberg. This Is the End Trailer: James Franco Is Having a Party, and All of Hollywood Is Invited

We've already gotten a tease of This Is the End, better known as the apocalyptic comedy starring just about every famous funny person, but the new red-band trailer provides a lot more footage, stars, and laughs.

We've already gotten a tease of This Is the End, better known as the apocalyptic comedy starring just about every famous funny person, but the new red-band trailer provides a lot more footage, stars, and laughs. We've got Mindy Kaling setting her sights on Michael Cera, Rihanna getting hit on by Michael Cera, and Michael Cera getting impaled during said apocalypse. OK, maybe Michael Cera is the star of this particular trailer.

But wait! There's also Emma Watson hilariously wielding an axe, and a pretty entertaining fight between the film's real stars (Jonah Hill, James Franco, Seth Rogen, Jay Baruchel, Danny McBride, and Craig Robinson) about who gets to eat a Milky Way bar. It's all very silly, but I'm now officially excited for this movie, which opens on June 14. The trailer is NSFW, but check it out after the read more
