Movie Recommendation For Breathless Starring Jean-Luc Godard and Jean Seberg

tdavies1028 Recommends a Film For Summer

The following post is from tdavies1028, who posted it on her OnSugar blog Shut Up, I Love That Shirt on You.

I was browsing Mr. Newton's blog yesterday evening (instead of packing, oops!) and he posted about a wonderful French movie I've seen that I had sort of forgot about. It has the same qualities that made me obsessed with An Education: Paris, incredible style, quirky romance, and captivating characters.

Breathless takes place in Paris in the summer of 1959, and follows a wild and criminal Jean-Luc Godard and a newspaper-peddling Jean Seberg. It's got a sort of crazy plot and at first you're not sure what to make of it — but if you just barely follow the subtitles and let the whole thing just wash over you — it's amazing. Perfect for a summer night in — or out! (According to Mr. Newton it's playing at Film Forum in NYC until June 17th. . .)
